Trouble is, this is the wrong question to ask. The real answer, which Yoshi P is polite enough not to say, is, "You're not paying us now, and you may never pay us again! Why should we reserve resources for you that are in hot demand by other players?"
The correct question to ask should have been, "I still have a subscription, but am unable to play the game for two months or more due to injury, sickness, or military deployment. Because of this, I can't log in and will lose my house! Why would you treat your loyal, paying customers this way?"
Of course, Yoshi P might give the same answer, but he'd look like more of a douche if he did.
