Fishing Node V - Help

Admitedly, I'd rather watch paint dry or grass grow than fish, but having run out of things to do, I recently decided to level fishing.

Despite the fact that it's the most evily designed time sink in the game, I've somehow managed to get marginally to the point where I can fish tier V nodes. Up until now, it hasn't been that difficult, with a little time, to identify exactly which type of fish was biting, and where to set the hook, accoringly, to catch it with extreme consistancy.

However, this doesn't look to hold true for V nodes. What appears to be an identical location or remainder on the stamina bar doesn't seem to correspond, necessarily, with a particular fish, and thus results in a mis-targeting, and often loss of lure, as a result. (16 fly lures I've lost trying to get this one level - up until now, I most often get multiple levels without losing a single lure ;

My question is, am I not being perceptive enough to notice a (very) slight deviance in the stamina bar, or is this something that is to be expected with tier V fishing nodes? Had no such issues like this with mining or botanist.

Any guidance or words of wisdom here is sincerely appreciated.

I noticed items tend to "move" if you are more than 5 levels below the recommended level for a node. So... if you are below lv35 FSH it's probably what's causing it.

• [dev1039] When the three below conditions are met in regards to the grade and difficulty of a gathering attempt, the "sweet spot" of the approach phase will be in a fixed location.
  
  1. Class rank
  2. Values of VIT for miners, STR for botanists, and DEX for fishers
  3. Bait and lures (for fishing only)
  
  ex.) At a certain grade and difficulty, having the appropriate rank, DEX value, and bait/lure will ensure that jigging the rod precisely in the middle will result in a black eel hit.

I experienced this issue @ level 34, my first time fishing a V node. Hopefully, this goes away, now that I've fumbled my way to 35 lol. I'm reinvigorated to continue my exhilerating journey to 50, hehe.

Just use leve to lv up... especially I remember around L36 3 leves = 1 lv (with guardian aspect) and that will last until L39.
it's much faster than go through nodes. so ya... you are almost there.

whats your level? The game throws in lots of random fails till your level is above the grade, it seems. took me a long to time to realize that I wasn't the problem lol. now that im at 50 i can predictably catch anything once i have the jig pattern down
