Is Sprig Cleaning an actual FATE?

Hey guys,
my issue is very straightforward: could you please tell me if Sprig Cleaning is an actual FATE? Was waiting for it to spawn on my completionist spree, to no avail. Would appreciate any hints.

(For example, here: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/L...s/Black_Shroud - it is a part of the list.)

I'm sure it's a FATE, but not in the sense that you will get an achievement unlocked if you do it. The only one that does that in the shroud is the rare Odin fate spawns once every three or so days, and has an eerie green weather look in all shroud zones, and the ochu near breantbench meadows, I think

The ochu one indeed rewards an achievement ('Lazy Town').. alas no one really does it anymore and it's far too strong to solo with your chocobo. Your only chance of getting this one is to try and form a party in Party Finder and hope you get some help (usually there will be at least a few offers to help you, depending on your server).

Yea, for Lazy Town, if your information is correct (level 66), then with the gear you have, and depending on your chocobo companion level, you can probably do this with a minimum of 6 people of equal level. You can pull the Ochu to the edge of the fate circle on the map, and tank it there. At that spot, the spawning ochu Adds should not bother you, or at best, it will be a managable amount (1-3 at most) I would come with someone who has ensuna...poison and paralyze is a constant threat.

Once you start the Ochu FATE however, it's likely that random people will see it is being done, and join in to help, making it quicker, but you should be able to finish it with a group of six, and your chocobos.

The rare odin fate however, is another matter entirely. Even though this rare fate has been content for years, you need 20+ people to bring him down effectively. Sadly, because it is outdated content, no one really cares. Just yesterday, I sadly had to watch as Odin despawned without a challenge.

However, I am not asking about FATEs with achievements. I have found a few lists of FATEs and want to finish them one by one. My question is: does anyone have an idea whether Sprig Cleaning & Tale of Two-Tails is still a FATE that actually spawn or were they deleted?

Tale of Two Tails (against Yabbi Two-Tails) definetely still spawns, as Yabbi appears as a possible Hunt target in ARR daily hunts. Her FATE spawns at the abandoned South Shroud Landing airship dock in the bottom corner of the South Shroud (which a gang of thieves has taken over as their hideout). It has a very long respawn rate though (as most of the FATEs that are needed for the Hunt do), so prepare to wait a few hours probably for this one to appear.

It's an easy fight though, as Yabbi is just a GLA class with no particularly difficult attacks to deal with - the main issue with that FATE is the generic miqo'te thieves that are already found there will almost always agro you on sight and could end up mobbing you if you're not careful, as it's a really small area to fight in (I usually pull Yabbi off to the very edge against the cliff face where often only one thief will agro instead of the whole gang, allowing me to engage Yabbi in peace.).

No achievement is granted for completing this FATE however.

It's still a FATE. They wouldn't remove it unless there's a bug, which then it would've showed up somewhere in the Bug Reports. Since a search shows nothing in Bug Reports, then it most likely wasn't removed. However, ARR FATE respawn timers were adjusted a while ago so it may take longer between spawns.

I see people saying that, yes it is a FATE, but I've been looking for it to spawn off and on for two weeks with no luck, so I'm questioning whether or not it is still in the game as well.

It's listed on the Gamerescape website as 'needing verification', so it may be possible that it has indeed been removed from the game, although I have no idea why that would be the case.

Could be a number of reasons why it showed up in databases but were removed. There could have been some bug with the FATE or it could have caused problems for other content taking place in the same location.

Or could be that it was never actually implemented in the release version of the game despite being in test files picked by by datamining. Every database for every MMO is littered with items and content that were part of the development process but never implemented in the release version of the game.
