O11N Tether Difficulties

Hello. For the life of me, I cannot grab the tether in O11N (the ones in O9N aren't exactly easy, either), and I'd like some help.

Running through the person doesn't work. They just keep it, and I look like an idiot. So, on a suggestion, I ran and stood on them for a good 3-4 seconds. That didn't work, either. Again, they kept it.

Nobody else seems to have this issue that I can see. I'm watching footage, and the transfer is just seamless. But, for me, I just can't pick it up.

Is it my connection? Is it lag? What am I missing here?

Did you try to take the tether directly?
So just stand in the line of the tether and not on the person.

The person with the tether should just run away from the group. It doesn't hit hard enough to kill a DD at full health.

Face Boss North, Party stack max melee Range South, and you OT can take the tether between max melee Range-/hit Box South from the Boss.

Thats it and works fine.

Run through the tether, not the person holding the tether.
Same way the ones in Sephirot works.
