    Burst Ready and Enemy List

    Hello!

I noticed when the burst ready countdown has started, they are not marked on the enemy list. It can be very difficult on some/most classes to switch targets quickly if we're having to either click them while they're moving, or hope that im close enough to read their name or class then find them on the enemy list.

This seems like an extra step going backwards. This is bad for someone (Like me ) who feels its easier to click there ( on the enemy list where their names are displayed ) when you are being busy on a class.

With the old countdown macro, it would put a large number in front of their name on the enemy list. This allowed you to see, at a glance who to attack and where your melee probably is.

I would really like to see the new burst ready countdown also put a marker next to their name in the enemy list.

And why not add a Burst Ready! Quick chat macro as well? Sometimes i feel like people think im being rude when i say HELLO! every 30 secconds or so... but im just trying to communicate my bursts.

    Thanks for considering the change!

The chat says the job of the target. You don't have to be close to the enemy at all to see who it is.

I wouldn't mind having the CD next to the enemy being bursted though.

if in range or can be targeted, no need to search for it

@EA and @Mirch, I think this is a request for some quality of life additions.

Scrolling through the chat log is not an efficient way to know who to burst. By the time you see it, it's too late. It's needs to show up on the enemy list immediately.

I'm glad that works for you though! We're all different.

Is that really more efficient than having it show up on the enemy list?

Say they Target the healer. Ok, there are three other people directly next to them. How do I know if it's the healer they're targeting or the tank that's protecting them?

If the countdown showed up on the enemy list, I would know. Your method seems like I would still select targets 1-3 before seeing the correct one.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

As soon as you hear the noise, glance at the chat log and cross reference the job being specified to its role and press your targeting macro.

So if it says "Focus Attack on the dark knight!" Press your /target <e1> macro immediately

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

I understand there are work around, and I appreciate you guys trying to help.
    But!
I'm asking for this change specifically so we don't have to use a macro to make better use of a macro.

There are still many people that don't know hello means you're ready to burst, and we've been using it a while now. How long do you think it will take the majority of people to adopt this strategy with the <target> macro?

How many times are you going to call out a burst and have somebody attack the wrong person?

Shouldn't we try making communicating as easy as possible? An easy solution is one that is figured out intuitively, and doesn't require going to an internet forum and hoping someone tells you the answer. Most people aren't going to put in that much effort.

    Thx!
Especially the burst ready macro instead of spamming hello. I feel bad after our healer dies and I'm like HELLO! HELLO! Like they did something to personally offend me. Lol

I never said I was against it. I actually do want it.

I just want the person to know how to work with it for now.
