A self-improvement tool is needed in this game, especially for end game

From my knowledge, part of toxicity in the game community is due to the huge skill gap between players. It is never rare to see many people under-performed in High End Duties, and there is no way to tell those people that they are the "weaklings" or not good enough at this content in a helpful and non-rude way. In another word, these under-performed people are carried by other people who know how to play their roles, and this is unfair in any aspect unless in a premade party. According to the rule, third party software is prohibited, so a suggestion through the information from third party software has a risk of being banned, though it is from a good intention. In fact, this does not stop toxic behaviour rather than encourage such behaviour as such "got carried" players always exist without knowing anything.

When I started to play this game, I had no idea that I was under-performed until someone told me so. Before that point, the game has no way to tell me how my performance is in any specific duty. Even though we have stone sky sea, many players still do not know its existence as SSS is never mandatory. Since SSS is not mandatory, players can safely ignore it without getting any troubles.

An in-game official self-improvement tool or performance checker is needed in this game, and this should be required to join parties in party finder. It is not only healthy for this game and also for the community. The reason why so many people are ignorant about their own performance is because they have no way what so ever to get such information or stats through an official way, and this will increase the skill gap even more in the future between the people who knows about their own job and the people who knows nothing about their own job.

Hall of the Novice was a good start in the right direction, but they somehow decided that it was enough alongside mentor system.
While it indeed does help, the game fail at properly prepare new players to the content they'll deal with.
This is because of that, that this gap exists.

They thought than making dps check/making rotation and such easier was the way to close that gap. But that's where they are wrong.
Or maybe it did work, but only in Japan idk. But this game is almost availaible worlwide, so there's no excuse.

The latest reasoning given by the Devs is they don't want to split the community and if they made it personal only, players would request screens or some other proof before allowing entry. Your wish to have it required for PF backs up their first reason, and while many players already vet through similar means, having an official parser would increase the number that do it.

Those are the official reasons. If we're being real, they probably also don't want to add one because they don't have the manpower to deal with the numerous reports of dps harassment that would result and they would prefer not to ban any more players than necessary. They are a business after all.

The Devs are well aware that parsing is one of the top requested QoL changes. Making yet another topic asking for one won't do anything.

We shouldn't have mandatory skill checks. But we could definitely do with proper level 70 class tutorials that have skill checks required for completion. Give out a hefty tomestone reward for first-time completion, and even the really bad players will see them through, and might even learn to play their class in the process.

Just put the base openers for each class in the game and an intermediate hall of the novice for basic rotation stuff.

This is a good idea too! As long as there is a way in the game to tell people how to properly play their job and help them to improve.

You are right, and I have read the Devs answer as well. This is also the reason why I did not say "parser" in my original post. I only hope that there is something to help people to improve in the game.

The Stone, Sky, Sea/Etc. dummies have always felt a bit bare-bones to me; while I know there are some fanmade tools out there that help calculate your damage for those trials, I would appreciate it if such things were available in-game. The simple pass/fail nature of the dummies isn't particularly helpful to me, and I wish at the end it would give you a more detailed score, such as total/highest damage dealt, total/target damage, recommended/minimum damage, etc

This wouldn't work because openers and rotations change all of the time based on player experimentation. Best thing they could do are things more along the lines of combos, positionals, dot uptime, etc.
