3. Ride flying mount and start flying
4. Change to a cross hotbar set other than set one

7. Mount moves upward and interrupts the cast

This isn't constrained to occur only while casting teleports; it can be reproduced at will. Conversely, if you change to cross hotbar set three while flying the mount does NOT move downward.
