    There is no more teleport on XI anymore, people just use Abyssea teleport, it's free and can teleport you dem/holla/mea/vahzl/jugner forest/north gust/south gust.

    But anima DOES fit in with the lore, and a teleport spell does not.

    So basically, you want to have it required to level conjurer because that is exactly what everyone will do. We have airships, chocobos (mounts), and recharging teleporting system; you want to add a free teleporting system?

    If you use the airships, set intelligent favored points, set an intelligent home point, and use 5 minutes of you time to ride to places; you should never have anima issues. Even if you have to port a lot, find a group of people who do the same thing and rotate who is porting. Doing mining leves? Find two or more miners that are too and rotate ports to the leve locations.
    It only takes one person 2 to 6 anima to port an entire party of 8 to anywhere in the game.

    no, non, nein, nyet, ie, plus any other negative you can think of. This is an issue that seems to be brought up every other week, and it gets shot down in flames every other week for very good reasons. Time to embrace the anima and move on.

    While Teleport (or Warp/Escape) are Final Fantasy staples, the OPs concern can potentially be resolved if SE implemented Teleport Stones like in FF12. Perhaps this function could be added to dark matter? That way it remains a "utility" not a "utility spell" exclusive to a job.

    I would rather get a bar/null-spell as they would be more useful for actual content (elemental primals et al)
