1) Someone asked for directions to Camp Drybone and spoke to me about being Keeper of the Moon.
2) Made buffalo leather straps for someone in Camp Drybone, a nervous miqo'te marauder and her hyur thaumaturge mentor, believe they were looking to make a bronze war axe.
3) Two people started roleplaying in Gridania airship docks while I was crafting before airships were implemented, did not participate.
4) Some people hanging out at Ul'dah inn while I was at retainer, did not participate.
5) Some people hanging out at Ul'dah inn while I was at retainer again, did not participate.
6) An encounter with an elezen armorer at Camp Horizon while waiting for a behest.
7) Encountered some folks in Limsa Lominsa and only needed to go there once for a quest.
This is over the course of 15+ months, this is the RP that I have come across on the unofficial RP server. And never forced on me. To me, those aren't such bad odds if players do not want to participate (one RP jam session every two months). And if those players needed to be blacklisted, one would be blacklisting up to 13 players (which only five are active).
I personally don't think it's worth migrating 40+ linkshell off of Balmung to avoid 13 players.
(Which is also why I didn't see a large negative impact at flagging a server official RP if it meant a few dozen roleplayers joined over the hundreds of non-roleplayers who would come to the server regardless).
If one looks at the Besaid blogs, they'll notice, most of these players are just blogging in-character, but I have not seen them in-game. Maybe they just like writing with the Eorzea theme more than playing the game (or not at their gaming computer), who knows?
P.S. I've been reporting this thread before it reached ten posts, but it seems only a CM or moderator can kill it.
