Doesn't make it any less true
Holier than thou? No. Just giving some sage advice. Think about it for a second, if someone offends you, are you harmed?
So what? They insulted you. You are the one giving the insult weight by allowing it to bother you.
I'll give some sage advice in return, then. If someone wanted a voice of reason in a hate thread, then it wouldn't be a hate thread. If you were observant enough to read the tags, then logic dictates that a shining beacon of tolerance and happiness is undesired. Dissect that for a moment and reflect. If you wan't to be butt-buddies with the RPers, then thats your Pierogi.
This thread is for those that don't.

there are politer ways to say "i dont want to be on an RPist server" then the way some people are coming off thoughI'll give some sage advice in return, then. If someone wanted a voice of reason in a troll thread, then it wouldn't be a troll thread. Dissect that for a moment and reflect. Politeness? On the Final Fantasy XIV® Official Forums? Surely you jest!
If I recall correctly, it was a request thread, not a demand thread. And that the first several pages were players bashing on rpers, and not the other way around. Maybe that was a different thread one of us read.I believe alot of the issue is that alot of the RPist showed there true colors on the thread about demanding an official RP server. They insulted and bashed anyone that disagreed with them, and if any of the terms they used were used back towards them, they went ape ****. There post raised alot of eye brows.
Actualy, the OP of that other thread has a bad habit of being the worst representative of the RP community you can have posting topics. He likes to flame and bash anyone who doesnt fully agree with him.
Case in point, i pointed out(in my first post there) that i thought we didnt need an official server cuz the unofficial stance gives a better community and a better population for RPists.
Thereofre, in his eyes im a troll and should be burned and he got all mad and butthurt and has insulted me the whole thread because of it.
Seriously, go look at all the OPs posts there...find ones that dont insult people, its hard to do. Yes others came in and voiced they dont like RP, but that was bound to happen, getting all mad over it is not the way to reprsent your ideas when someone doesnt kiss your ass over it.

I guess I must have read a different thread then, or didn't read far enough in. Nonetheless, these debates of rp or not rp are ridiculous. I don't understand why people can't just "live and let live." I don't rp, but I walk around town sometimes and /em things. I can understand people being mildly annoyed by rp, but then again I have to question why they play an mmorpg... I'm not saying anyone should take up rping, but I don't understand the ridiculous hate...
