Train-themed Mission Instance Quest

Inspired by the true intent of the Battle Environments post by the coeurl masta.

I want to open the floor to a Train themed mission/instance/raid suggestions.

An environment that gives the impression we are moving at high speeds through the land (and thus making a time limit to resolve more relevant)?

Fighting against Imperial soldiers, transported monsters that break free, etc. A difficult checkpoint fight such as a Magitek war machine?
Steals a ball of yarn from Antanias before he gives it. Hidden message bonus +1.
Objectives from separating a VIP rail car, switching the rails to change destination - affecting the encounters ahead (normal mode, hard mode), preventing a "phantom" from taking over the train, to fighting enemies or "an enemy" on an adjacent train toward the end.

Just throwing it out there to take advantage of the Battle Environments forum where the topic may stay on the first page for weeks over say... General Discussion where a topic will get far more attention, but become harder to find a few days later.

The idea is interesting, but I don't think Eorzea has trains, it's not that advanced technologically. I can imagine Garlemard having trains though so... maybe there will be something like this come 2.0

Yeah, I could see this once we get about into Garlemaid, but right now - I don't see it happening. Nice idea though, and definitely worthy of attention.

I love this idea. I'd also like to add that the map concept for Northern Thanalan in 2.0 does include a train. It appears that the train is being used by Garlemald, as it accesses their Northern Thanalan base.

Where did I get this information? From the Japanese notations on the 2.0 art PDFs on the Lodestone. Reinheart provided translations of some of these as well. I believe you can find them somewhere in his translation thread.

The maps were still in the design phase, so a train isn't an absolute certainty or anything, but it looks like there's a good chance that one is coming.

As I want trains, I do not want it to be a quest or instanced. Making it instanced would make it not apart of this world, it needs to be a living thing that you can see, touch, feel at anytime.

Could be done now as airship battles instead of a train.
