    Ragnarok: Only EU?

Between our EU night and mornings server will be low populated. What about a mix of NA and EU? when NA is playing EU is sleeping/studying/working, and when NA is sleeping/studying/working, EU is playing... So what about NA comming here too?

South America is comming too because they talk spanish/english and they sympathize much more with EU than Asia.

    comments?

it's EU recommended, not only EU. NA and JAP are more than welcome, so Ragnarok can turn into a good inter serveur.

I'm concerned about this too. The EU server will be in a pilot phase during March. And if the population of the server based on SE's predictions and estimates does not match up, they may break down the EU server and offer a chance to transfer to the other 9 servers.

i think a better option is to open free migrations to ragnaro if that happens, always someone want to change server coz feels alone or out of community.

Thats not entirely true, they said they may do this, the other option is to have a second chance for people to transfer from world 1-9 to 10.

I am on the fence with world 10 and I imagine a lot of people are also, nobody wants to move to a world with a low population.
The biggest issue with this server is making people feel as if its worth moving there, many EU players I speak to on Lindblum aren't considering it due to low population and a small English speaking community, plus having to leave friends behind.

I'm sure we will see US players on there, especially ones who play during GMT, I won't miss the JP community though as most of my experiences have been quit bad with them both in this game and FFXI.

Edit:- I forgot to mention that Wakfu had an EU server and the French were pretty damn rude and demanded everyone speak French so I hope it doesn't turn out like that. (it was later remedied by adding a second international server)

I think its rare that anyone wants exclusively an EU server. We're an EU/NS LS and aren't moving there for that reason. The point of the Final Fantasy series is to interact with people all over the world. We want to play with Americans as well as our GMT friends, French friends, German friends, etc.

To me there is no reason to have one server be called the "EU server". We've been an EU LS since beta and have never broken or had a problem with (EU) numbers. People want to meet others from all over the world. If people want to want an EU server can I demand Balmung (where Fabul is going) be called the EU/NA server?

but u are wrong, probably french and german move Ragnarok (not all but lots) Spanish people probably move too (we were in Ragnarok server in FFXI so feels like.. nostalgic ^^) Anyway, i was not asking people to come ragnarok if you are EU, i know we will be enough probably, i was saying if is not a waste of resources to have around 12 hours a server low populated, NA could fill that timezone easily.

Yeah, I got what you are saying but none of that changes my point. A mix is always better - its why people (in part) play the Final fantasy series. To play with people from all over the world. The loss in resources will occur more so from people deeming it the EU server then anything else.

I think my point is fairly illustrated from so many people having trepidations on going to server 10 because of the bonds so many have made across the globe. Many are saying (across the boards) they don't want to go because of the bonds they have forged. As foxbat pointed out: This would be better for 2.0 to have a designated server. Give the stragglers in game now a choice of going to where they want to the many different EU LSes across the servers.

I still demand Balmung be called the NA/ EU server :P

PS: Love your character name. Fantastic books they were.

    Thanks!

I know too what you want to say, but some people, like me, only have bonds with my linkshell members, so we are moving to a better timezone community. I know what u guys want, but what if in a future, (not descarted by SE) because PvP take some consistance in the game, they move some servers to EU and NA? is no fair to fight a japanese with 10 ping with 300 ping. So then, with stronger bonds, people who like PvP have to stay on server where PvP is not fair.

That is one of my points to change to a timezone server. One of lots.

The point of the entire series? Uh, no. There are like 30 games in the FF series, and only five of them even have multiplayer, and only two of those are online. So interacting with people from all over the world can't possibly be the point of the entire series.

Anyway, I think a special regional server is a good idea. However, if it were up to me, I would segregate the severs based on language rather than location. That way instead of having just a European server, we would have a French server for French players, a German server for German players, and English speaking Europeans could just go on the same servers as everyone else.

Also, Japanese players could have their own servers as well.
