Just invented in the last 5 years? Many cultures and societies have more than just male and female and that’s been since the creation of civilisation itself. Native American culture had 4 genders, and many tribes and pagan religions believed there was more to us than just male and female. So why do you feel entitled to spout empty words that have no base or meaning, and just act as a fog light to show your lack of understanding? Vitriol? Maybe ignorance (onus on you to prove they're ignorant regarding the subject). But no insults were toward you or others in any personal manner. They said the idea was ridiculous, not you for having it. They believe the topic is nonsensical, haven't said anything about you as a person. Closest you get is how low they regard the examples of superbinary you bring up, and even then, it's your example they're looking down on, not you.

As much as I am an advocate for different options like this in games, I do think especially at this point it's just too much work to not only get it not only programmed as an option and made sure it works with every situation like dialogue, character info retrieving, etc., but also to record different lines as necessary for this (not to mention the possible cultural backlash it'd throw on SE in any area of the world, considering there's still quite a bit of divisive opinions over this). Perhaps I'm not as informed as I should be, but it may just be best to take it as it is or maybe at least have yourself a sort of head-canon for your character so you can still technically have the option even if SE doesn't have it as one.

Honestly, it’s just pretty disheartening. People give their opinions, which is fine, but others antagonise and goad, call mine and others way of life itself “made up” and then wonder why the recipient gets angry or fed up. I’m only human, while I stand by everything I’ve said, there’s only so much I can bare to keep reading comments that I don’t think are from a place of logic or reason, but just a desire to put people down they don’t understand. I’ve made my point by posting this thread, which as I said to begin with, was bound to be controversial, no matter how calm, rational or accountable I can attempt to be, there will be those who find a way to shut this down before it ever reaches anywhere as they just fundamentally don’t agree with it, or believe it. None of this is made up. None of this is “for a fight” or attention. It’s just an honest plea for something that would make me and others so happy. Theres only so much if my energy I’m willing to give, so to those who have ACTUAL,VALID arguments as to why ONE more option is not feasable, not because it doesn’t apply to you, or differing identities makes you uncomfortable, then please speak up.

Just because you don't like what I'm saying doesn't mean that I'm being Vitriolic and Toxic. I'm partaking in a discussion that you started and stating my opinion, again that's how a discussion operates. You can not like what I'm saying all you want, It doesn't bother me one single bit. You created a thread and made a suggestion that the dev's spend development time on something that I don't agree with so i gave my opposing view, once again that's how a discussion works.

If you can't handle other people's opposing viewpoints and thoughts on a topic that you created then I'd recommend that you just not post anything since you clearly can't handle discussing a opposing view without resulting to ad hominem. In none of my posts did i directly insult you, I said that the topic you brought up was nonsense and that I don't think they should spend development resources on catering to IRL identity politics and putting it into a game that most people play to get away from all that kind of stuff. There is nothing stopping you from role playing whatever gender you identify with, but I do not agree with your suggestion of SE catering to that ideal.
