Returning Player Looking For More

Hello everyone! I just returned to the game after being away from the game for about a year. Returning to the game as it stands has been somewhat tough for me since my original FC is now mostly gone and unreachable. So this leads me up to the part where I tell everyone that I am looking for a new FC to start out with. My only personal problem is my ideas of what an FC should be is similar to what the old ideas of what a guild in WoW is. Yes, I said the dirty little acronym there. My friend has told me repeatedly that FFXIV is totally different from those old concepts of when looking for a group of people to do stuff with, such as raiding, should be put into the neat little wrapper of party finder.

I honestly do love this game and have loved it from 2.0 on, but my only problem has been with the constant feeling of being alone when playing the game. Strange concept since this is an MMO and all, but it is the truth of how I have felt. It is why I have left the game only to return again in a cycle. So before the next social group presses that dial to hit me up, just keep in mind my last FC was a social type. I honestly need more than just hitting the button of being in a mass group of people I do not know and feel awkward trying to get to know when everyone only communicates via text.

Sorry guys, but in this era with discord being free to use, I feel it is a requirement to have a mic and actually sit down and talk to people. Now I will let you know up front I am a nice guy, but I am also a loud person. I am not afraid to speak up or speak my mind. I will typically tell you honestly what I think and dislike trying to go behind someone's back about it.

So onto what I am actually looking for here:

I am looking for a group of people I can sit down have a chat with via voice communication. I would like to actually do stuff together rather than I have your tag for your group that doesn't really do anything together in the first place. I want to be able to login to discord, the game, and just start a conversation of more than just Hello and have everyone give me the obligatory translator message saying hello back with nothing more becoming of it than that. So the idea of just hanging out and doing stuff is the key motivator here for me. While I realize once I get myself later this month up to speed on the raiding situation that I should seek that there via party finder, but I will be upfront that this is the type of thing that I enjoy doing. So I find both in the same shot, great if not, that is ok too.

Would there be a time of day that I can reach you for the opportunity to join your FC? I have been checking over the past few days in the game using the search function, but I have been unlucky so far. Personally, I am in the EST time zone. What time zone would you happen to be in so I can best find you?

I'm also Eastern Time Zone. Myself (Aldis) or Bernier are usually online after 3pm and until Midnight. Longer on weekends.
