Well I mean it does get you a mount and helps you get to a crown through battle classes. And yes I know I just made some people sick with that thought.
I think a better question is... how did you get that far without knowing how to play PLD...
How does one get that far without knowing how to play the easiest tank in the game really?
Cuz the people put up with it cuz they don't got time to requeue. If they did, that guy would've gotten kicked so many times, he'd either quit the game out of frustration and the inability to progress or re-evaluate how to play pld and actually adjust to how he should be playing instead of playing how he wants to play.
That and bads don't mind other bads.
This is an RPG. It's also an MMO RPG. The social element of the game is very exploitable, as it always is in MMORPGs. And since I have stellar social skills, I managed to snag free gil and gear from other players. And since overall efficiency with combat in this game has gear as its bread-winning element, I WIN.
Except you don't win if you're losing aggro on any of the mobs that aren't due to fight mechanics. A low geared PLD can, if they know what they are doing, keep aggro from better geared DPS/Healers. Knowledge of the class is winning. Gear is showing you have deep pockets. Knowledge + gear is showing you know what you're doing, and can sustain yourself with gear...which is far more profitable in the long run that just showing you can "snag free gil and gear from other players"This is an RPG. There isn't enough eyeroll for this. Poor Mateus -_-
No amount of gear is a replacement for skill or class knowledge. It is extremely obvious when gear is the only thing carrying someone. And no your stellar social skills won't save you where your gear fails to. Good luck winning in any remotely challenging content at max lvl.
My guess is job level boost since it's funny if he can reach level 67 through roulette...
