Didn’t... didn’t you make a thread about this a few months ago? I could swear we’ve been through this with you before, but you’ve made a lot of baity threads so maybe I’m misremembering.

With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Aren't you that scammer?

That just means people are weird.
As a tank you have the following tasks to do:
1) Stay alive
2) Keep aggro on all mobs. (There are exceptions in specific encounters, but as a general rule it works.)
3) Try to keep mobs turned so their AOE attacks don't hit other players.
4) Try not to move around the mobs more than necessary.
5) Do as much DPS as you while still succeeding in points 1-4.
If you manage all that you are doing your job as tank.
If you fail on any of 1-4 you are failing as a tank.
If you fail at point 5 you are merely a less-than-great tank.
Provoke (the ability that puts you on top of the enmity list) is useless as an opener. It puts you ahead of the other players - who have zero enmity at that point.
Provoke is for regaining aggro if you loose it.
being the tank means you are ready to take the blame if everybody dies. I just hit 70 on my MNK and here's what I do in 50+ dungeons and it works (except when I am min ilvl then I expect to have problems but I digress):
Start dungeon in shield oath. pull group with shield lob/flash (if pulling to another group) then lob and flash. When everyone's in range of me, hit circle of scorn. Then arggo combo. If arggo is lost, hit provoke macro and shield lob at enemy in question. As circle of scorn pops up, use it.
If boss:
I start ready check. If 4/4 are ready, shield lob to start, then arggo combo 2-3x. THEN do a alternate combo ending in royal authority or DOT and back to arggo combo.
AT ANY POINT (boss maybe. Probably during a mass-pull) I go low on health:
pop rampart, convalesence. If I am real low, pop HG (if HG is not up, sentinel and bulwark). Self heals as needed (if I can help the healer by healing a low-HP DD, I may do so). My Objective is to stay alive so the squishy people don't take damage. Boss adds are designed to die easily so I only go after them if I can do combos on the boss.
People may say to not always stay in shield oath but I try to be very cautious as a tank. Might take longer but my job is to make sure the healer has 0 need to use swiftcast & raise together.

Is he the mirror world version of that tank that got called out for only spamming shield lob a while back?
Makes a thread stating that he does not know how to tank. Proceeds to tell everyone who gives him advice that he knows how to tank because he gets player comms.
Well I mean it does get you a mount and helps you get to a crown through battle classes. And yes I know I just made some people sick with that thought.
I think a better question is... how did you get that far without knowing how to play PLD...
How does one get that far without knowing how to play the easiest tank in the game really?
