Unable to spin the Magia Board in Pagos (PS4/controller)

When submitting a bug report, please use the below template and thoroughly fill out the necessary information.

    Date & Time: 12PM BST/11:00 server time
    Frequency: Permanent
    World name: Louisoix
    Character name: Corbin Dallas
    Retainer name:
    NPC name:
    Monster name:
    Class/Level: 70/elvl 35
    Party or solo: both
    In-game time:
    Area and coordinates: Eureka: Pagos
    Housing:
    Steps:
    1. Enter Eureka Pagos
    2. Spin the wheel using the standard PS4 input of touchpad > Square/X
    3. It does nothing
    4. Double check you have full MA
    5. Try again
    6. It still does nothing
    7. Cry because you're forced to use macro commands to reliably spin the wheel

Bit of extra info, the controller is fully charged, the inputs work as expected everywhere else, i.e. Square opens the map, etc, and X confirms targets. It just won't let me spin the magia wheel for some unknown reason. I've tried re entering, logging out and in, still busted.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When did this start happening? Were you able to do this action before and now you can't? Or was is this way from the start?

You're using a PS4 controller, but are you playing on a PC or a PS4?

Is there a way you can upload a video so we can see exactly what is going on?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I'm playing on PS4, and this has only been happening since 4.4. Before 4.4 the Magia Board worked as normal and responded to inputs.

These last few days it was worked, albeit sporadically, more often than not though it remains unresponsive despite using the correct inputs and hearing the input sound effect.

Thank you for the reply CorbinDallas.

Do you have more than one controller? Does this happen on more than one of them? If you don't have another controller, can you borrow one to test?

Is the controller connected wirelessly or via the USB cable? Does it exhibit the same issue both ways?

If you can upload a video of the issue, we may be able to understand it better.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I've got 2 controllers and tried both wireless and plugged in, still the same issue, intermittent inability to spin the wheel.

I'll try and get a clip of it next time I'm in Eureka, I've finished Pagos now and don't intend to go back in until Pyros.

I had this happen to me, and then I saw this thread. x made the magia rotation sound but no movement, and square did nothing. I left the instance and re-entered, without making any other changes to controllers etc. and then it worked. Seemed to be a turn it off and on kind of fix but yes I can confirm this bug.

I definitely had full MA even to the point I went to the Magia Melder to restore but it did not work. No video sorry.
