    Tchi -> Aura

Tai chi form to build Chi* (not Tchi sorry, can't change title now).

Between battle or in the city, as a solo form, you could peform some tai chi looking move to creat chi energy. This could be used to boost tp, some stats temporaly.

But I would really see it for building a limit break, like a 2 hours ability but no 2 hours : full chi bar.

This could take time to do, like long and repeted form. But once the chi's ready you could be ready to perform your Aura.

When in a party, you could start your Aura. This would let ppl with you the option to join it or not.

If they do, they would become your classe for a couple of second. And from there you could all be able to cast the same spell for greater damage, or to use the same ability for more result.

A dark glow around a CON for exemple would emane from everyone joining the Aura.

Tai chi looking form would add to character expression, beauty to see those forms in action.

Learning new form would let you perform new kind of overdrive.

Wouldn't it look great to see a group prepare for battle with Tai Chi moves?

That's it, idea need lot of work, especialy for the Aura part. But it's a start I would like to develop with you guys.

    What do you think?

I'm pretty sure it's just chi energy your thinking of, not tchi. (or qi, or ki, however you want to say it. :P) An interesting idea though, and it's true that Tai Chi is a beautiful martial art. I speak from experience since I do the Sun style form of it.

I'm not sure how practical it would be to implement, but it's an interesting idea for a overdrive.

Well, the thing about Chi is that it's definitely directed at PGL (considering Chinese monks specifically practice strengthening their Chi which is what hand-to-hand classes are generally originated from) but technically everyone has Chi. I can see everyone has a Chi ability (while PGL has a much stronger one) but that just seems wrong to me.

The only implementation that I can think of that makes the game seem fair and also has some lore behind it is to only give PGL (1) or have everyone have Chi while giving PGL the follwing action (2):

    1. PGL uses his Chi to evoke and link with the Chi of the entire party to boost...let's say Battle Regimen effects for a short duration or until the next Battle Regimen is used.

    2. Every class gets a unique Chi ability probability increasing a certain stat or multiple stats (all totaling the same amount) for a short duration or until the next action/Battle Regimen is used. PGL would then use his Chi to evoke and link the Chi of the entire party to give everyone in the party +50% Chi stat boosts or adds each person Chi boosts to each party member for 50% of the effect.

This would definitely be an interesting add but I'm hoping SE fixes other things first.

It's an intriguing idea, and one I've seen implemented in a few of PWE's games. However, I personally don't feel that it fits the world design SE has given us for FFXIV.

... And then you become a super sayian...

Umh.. no. Don't really like it to be honest. We don't need more overcomplicated party mechanics. We need the ones we have to be streamlined and made more intuitive.

Would be insanely good! Just call it Limit Break and not Tai Chi Cool animations like you said should definitely play apart of it, to reflect Japan's heritage. I really hope Yoshi-P takes a close look at your suggestion!!
