It actualy sounds like a sexualy transmitted disease, or better yet a sexual move that women aren't fond of like the Cleveland Steamer or a Donkey Punch. Having been a huge advocate earlier of not really caring about server names, let much retract that sentiment now by saying these names are in fact horrible. Thousands of cool names and places that have been created (or "borrowed") over the decades by SE for their games, and these are the best they can come up with? Worst part is they give the coolest name on this sad list (Ragnarok) to the EU peeps.

really? i always like the name Balmung sense Dot hack anime and the first 4 games and thought it was cool that they made a world of it. Did some wiki search i did not even knew it was use as a wep in ff history or ffxi as a great sword too now.

Not suprising. I think Durandel was another name they used in the Front Mission games, not sure if it was ever used in a FF, but if I had to bet I would say it was. I think that, while TOTALLY not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it just seems like a shame to be trading some sweet names we have now for this list. But like I said, it won't change gameplay or community at all so w/e. Seriously though, I Balmunged your girlfriend last night, and she loved it (totally Kidding!) YOU SEE though!????

Durandel was use in FFXI lol and X and XII as other Great Sword but this time only for PLD in ffxi and other games it said to be the most powerful wep. I like all the world name should i like the one selbina got and some other people got like Balmung seeing how that was great memory from dot hack.

This merge is nearly perfect for me, When I first started I wanted to play on Figaro. But my LS friends from XI picked Melmond. So now I get to play with the Figaro community with my LS mates, and the awesome Melmond players, and get a nice new server name as well.
