Is it possible to still find a partner?

I’ve been trying to find a friend that still casually plays this game. Someone that does mind to roleplay and be a good friend; someone to talk to when I need a voice, to fight in dungeons and raids with, maybe even RP romantic scenes and even just goof around? Everywhere I go it feels lifeless. Maybe it’s the server I’m in or just me trying too hard. I’m even in a FC that’s active, but I feel like the runt of the group. Everyone’s out having fun, getting married, having deep conversations. I’m trying to be apart of it, but it feels like I’m squeezing in and causing a bad vibe. Like, no one tries to get to know me at all. Whether I be myself, do my own thing, or just wait patiently. . .it always seems to end the same; where I have nothing and no one.

I have no experience with Midgardsormr as a server, but if you're finding the social scene wanting, it might be worth your while to transfer to a bigger server.

The best way to make friends is to start with a mutual interest. It certainly helps if you're a leader or pioneer.

Try making server-only groups in party-finder for content you enjoy, and then you can judge the people you get. If you click-push for a second date--err, social event. You can easily make friends by throwing together map parties, and even easier if you offer to pay for all of the maps. You'd be rolling with your own crew in no time!

The bottom line though, people generally only care for others based on what they can get in return. Some folks just want a partner to not feel alone, others need a partner in crime to run some duties. Others just want to empower their FC mates, and in turn--fuel their own sense of tribalism. The best relationships are those where both parties mutually benefit from each other. Goes with the popular saying 'the best way to have a friend--is to be a friend."

If you're into the RP scene you should definitely give Mateus a shot. It's very active from what I've seen. I've only been back a short time but it's a pretty great realm in my opinion.

There's also a thread on the forums for that, and I think a discord; it's "for" Eternal Bond partners but most people straight up say whether they're looking for less or more, some say just friends, some want to test it out, some are looking for RP, some want game partners, etc. Might be a place to post, too. I've seen enough folks reach out to each other there.

Another quick and easy way to make friends on your server is to advertise in novice-network that you're tanking or healing roulettes and you're giving away free queues! Then socialize with your hostages!

You've been on the marriage thread for literal years. Sorry to be blunt but you are definitely trying too hard. Or something is wrong somewhere.

I agree with the guy from Balmung who posted before, Mateus is a good server. Honestly, if RP is something you care about--I'd invest in a server transfer. I personally think relationships are easy. If you know yourself, and you know the person you're trying to get with--you'll find almost every interaction easy.

However, the biggest crux with humanity is that people often don't know themselves, and they're too lazy to learn others. Tack mental-illness ontop of that, and you got a recipe for disaster!
