Downgrade Mendacity to Poetics option

The only downside I could of think of at the moment is new players that just reach level 70 and complete the MSQ (to start obtaining the new tomestones) would have instant access to high ilvl gear as they could just save Poetics and then buy a ton of stuff (to equip or mats to sell) when the requirements let them. It's really not that difficult to complete HW relics and I never thought that Poetics was ever an issue, so perhaps your method just needs to be adjusted OP.

This is a down-side how? If you're level 70, why not be allowed to buy already out-dated level 70 gear right away? We're already past Mendacity tomes, not like people could turn a heap of Poetics in for Genesis tomestones and bypass the 450 a week to buy the newest gear. If anything, wouldn't this be a good tool for helping people catch up a bit more quickly and get into the real endgame faster, instead of lagging in the miserable zone where you have to grind outdated raids just to get already-outdated gear in order to get a high enough item level to allow you access to raids with just slightly less outdated gear?

Anyways, belatedly, I don't think she's suggesting that we just get rid of Mendacity and make all previous gear buyable with Poetics; rather, she just wants the option to buy "Token of Poetics" for Mendacity tomes, to turn Mendacity into Poetics, which presumably wouldn't work in reverse to allow Poetics to be upgraded to Mendacity.

But while we're on the subject... I definitely wouldn't mind that second option. D;
