Skipping cutscenes in MSQ Roulette

You are not forced to do MSQ roulettes. There's other more efficient ways to get the same rewards, and it was that way even when we could skip cutscenes in there. So, why complain? Just do something else. That roulette is there to help and to relax while doing almost nothing, and some people enjoy running them that way.

I mean, if you're complaining about this it's obvious that you don't care about the dungeons themselves, so you don't need to go there. It's nice to have options, right?

You can no longer skip cutscenes because new players were rushed through them, left out of fights alltogether and found themself alone in certain parts of the dungeon with all bosses cleared and the group already on their way out.

There were countless complains from people who wanted to enjoy the final dungeon of the game, but couldnt because its poorly designed and people arent willing to wait for the new person, even if they get compensated with bonus tomes.

Except this wasnt/isnt about your normal speed running of a dungeon (which is still very possible btw - doors are annyoing, I agree, but most dungeons let you pull 2-3 packs, so you're at the boss in 2 pulls), its about the last two dungeons of the ARR-story, the grand final.
Putting the cutscenes in the dungeon was a mistake and thankfully they never did that again. And they should have probably just turned the dungeons into solo-instances. But a new player who get rushed through cutscenes or forced to skip or just ends up missing every bossfight of their final dungeon, has every right to be upset and complain.

If watching those cutscenes and helping newbies get through the dungeons is making you "suffer", then stay out of those dungeons/roulettes. You get compensated for your time with the tome-bonus. Thats your payment to help a new person finish their story in a some what enjoyable way.

Yeah, I skip this roulette. However on occasion these dungeons still show up in mentor roulette, and if that happens I just leave. It isn't worth my time.

And there isn't any other sort of alternative for getting the mentor roulette's rewards.

If you're doing them as Mentor, or doing the Mentor roulette (and thus agreeing to get ANY duty, even those that you hate), then I assume that you want to help other players. In the case of the MSQ dungeons specifically it would include to be nice and wait, which in turn would basically make it pointless to skip any cutscenes.

If that's not the case, as I can seem to notice from your post, I would like you to read again the Mentor description and warnings in one of the Smiths. You're free to use your Mentor status as you wish, but you have no right to complain if you aren't using it as intended. In fact, other people could actually complain about your attitude.

You have it available. In other duties. There's no rewards exclusive to CM or Prae.

Instead of complaining just don't run them. If your presence is really needed there, that will give SE the message and they'll make further changes or do whatever with these duties (like maybe fixing them for good, making them solo duties, and finally getting rid of all the drama).

You get bonus EXP and tomestones from MSQ roulette, including Genesis if you're at endgame.

Roulettes are a good way to level up in general - all reward you with varying amounts of bonuses (EXP, tomes, GC seals, materia, gil) and the rewards scale with your level.

There isn't anything you really need to do to prepare for them - just use your preferred class and current gear, and your stats will automatically adjust to the dungeon. You won't get anything above your current level.

You mentioned your character is already at Lv70, but there is a specific Lv70 roulette (for endgame dungeons that reward Mendacity and Genesis tomes) and also 'Experts', which isn't as daunting as it sounds - it's just the most recently released dungeons, currently the Burn, Arboretum and Ghimlyt Dark.

You've been missing out on tons of EXP and tome rewards. How have you even managed to reach level 70?

There's no preparation needed for any content in this game, except endgame raiding, which is not on a roulette.

Seriously, outside of initial story progression and endgame raids, roulettes are the main content that anyone ever does in this game.
