    wireless mouse with laptop issue

I've been playing ff14 on my laptop with a wireless mouse but the mouse keeps cutting in and out. It doesn't do this with any other game and the battery is brand new. The mouse is right next to my laptop so distance isn't a problem and I tried fiddling with sensitivity to no avail. If anyone knows how to help I'd very much so appreciate it.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When exactly did this start happening? Did anything change/update on your PC that coincides with this?

I'm assuming you tried another mouse to see if it would have the same result?

What kind of mouse are you using? Is there a way to connect it with a wire? Does this have the same result?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

It just started happening randomly about a week or two ago, at first it was really subtle but some days it'll be so bad I can't even do anything. I haven't tried it with another mouse because I don't have another to try it with. I'm using an Easterntimes Tech 2.4G wireless optical mouse and there is no wire option.

Thank you for the reply Alenora.

Have you experienced this issue in any other games or programs?

There may be some other program that may be interfering with the game. As such, I'd suggest doing a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

Additionally, I'd suggest making an exception on your anti-virus/firewall for Final Fantasy XIV. This will make sure that it's not interfering with the game or your mouse (if either updates, it can change how it reacts to the other).

Does your mouse have it's own set of drivers or any program that comes with it? Have you tried reinstalling those?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I had the same issue on the same mouse, it was fixed for me by going into Device Manager, finding the mouse listed, right clicking, going to properties, going to the power management tab and unticking "disable device to save power"

I likely won't see your replies to my posts so if it's important, /tell Lem Ayase@Kujata .
