    How to change name come server merge?

    So Yoshi says active characters will get priority over names. And seeing that SE are still discussing name changes for 2.0 I'd like to go ahead and get it changed now..just in case. In order to do this, could I deactivate my character Zahak's account before merge and create a second character named Zahak Samelastname? Or would it have to be on a seperate account I wonder.

    Why are you trying to change your name anyway?

    Bad reputation on your server and want a fresh start elsewhere where people won't know you?

    Sorry that's just the guild leader in me popping out.

    I'm sure with 2.0 race changes, name changes will come as well.

    Nope, I miss my original XI name. Everyone loves me (as far as I know) But then if SE does not let names change, I'm screwed haha. So I'll try this first
