I was wondering if anyone knew of a listing for the Eorzean deities and their corresponding zodiac animal for Heavensturn. Specifically, if Menphina made an appearance or has a known corresponding zodiac animal. Tried looking around, but only the first few Heavensturns seemed to have listed Eorzean deities listed and I can't find the quest dialogue to dig through.

There was another recent topic asking about Eorzea holidays, and I copied out some quotes referencing their version of Heavensturn. (Evidently not everything since Moose is finding more references to which god has been chosen each year, but I’d just gone through the opening lines of each quest.)

Anyway the main thing I got out of it is that it seems there isn’t a fixed cycle of gods to match the Eastern zodiac, but instead the astrologians have to work it out every year! (Unless I’m misinterpreting it, of course.)

It does seem to mostly be following the fixed list of gods though, if you needed to guess outside of the listed calendar years.

Moose, if I remember correctly, I believe 2012 (year of the Dragon) was Althyk -- I recalled that one because Dragon is my Spirit animal (yes I believe in that stuff).

2011 (Rabbit) was Halone for sure and I don't believe there was any for 2013 so no idea who the god/goddess is... servers had just finished running Alpha test for 2.0 at the time.

Hokay, thanks to Ramses and Rocl I got the missing years (I didn't put my 1.23 archive on my new laptop, yet, lol.)

2013 we didn't have an event for. Game was down. Kabuto showed up later.

Who do you think? We're down both ice deities, both water deities, both earth deities. 2013 Byregot for while they were building the game? Knock out that other lightning and leave us two fires and two winds? Or maybe Oschon because that year's event wandered away? Nald'thal because the game went through death and came back to life?

(Also lol year of the snake for when Zodiark was added...)

Trying to find a logical link to the choice of god, it seems.

Halone, goddess of war; Althyk, god of time and space; etc.


So Nald'thal (two-part "overseer of the underworld and god of commerce") in the lead up to Shadowbringers, and now Byregot the Builder, god of the arts.
