If someone is not topping fflogs, they are looking for a carry. Yes, there are bad players. To say they make up most of the playerbase is just exaggerating. In 5 years, I've never run into the mythical ice mages this forum claims are everywhere.

They should make a server for all these players that never make mistakes. Then they can clear everything in one shot, never die and not have to play with us mere mortals that make mistakes. Sounds like a win/win for everyone.

When people generally refer to bad players, we aren't talking about players that make mistakes. Everyone's experience varies and is nothing more than anecdotal evidence when based on their personal experience. That being said, the tales of the DF thread has been on the front page of the general forums for years and is filled with thousands of negative experiences with players that go for outside the realm of just making mistakes. While that thread isn't really proof that you yourself will encounter these players, it's a pretty good indication that encountering bad players isn't some rarity. There is a big difference between someone who makes a mistake and the Dragoon who doesn't use Heavy Thrust or Doomspike throughout the entire dungeon despite the fact that the tank is chain pulling tons of mobs, or the monk that doesn't do any positionals and single targets every single mob in big trash pulls. People don't care about players making the occasional mistake, but when someone is legitimately doing everything incorrectly and wasting the groups time. That is what bother's people.
