NGL, those people did you a favor. Most cats like that are massive tools and a waste of energy to be around anyway. Best I would say is hit the dummies at Stone Sky Sea, and if you can pass, don't stress it. Just queue again and do your best. Watch a guide if you need to.

I had something similar happen to me once. I think it was on deltascape 3 and I was trying to help some cats clear. 3rd wipe in or so and I had only died once to a messed up mindjack. The cats decicded to kick ME when I not only already had the clear, but was completely slaughtering the rest of the DPS even with a death. Their loss tbh. Legends say they're still trying to clear that fight to this day. Bads gonna bad. No need to stress, just do your best and move on.

My true definition of bad, before all other definitions, is a player who acts like a jerk. you can play like trash and as long as you're trying your best, you're still a better player than someone who's a jerk.

This is a very subjective definiton...and a wrong one.
Also it judges the person and not the level of play.
Do you have any objektive criteria?

Objectively, if a player acts like a bad person, they are bad yes. I don't have unreasonable expectations of pugs. All I expect is that they manage to clear it, depending on the content I May or may not expect them to clear with minimal trouble. and I wont shame someone if they fail to live up to those expectations. worst case scenario I apologize and leave the queue, eating a penalty if I have to.

Oh yeah! The only boss that has a hard enrage in 24-man raid... and maybe Proto-Ultima, I guess.
24-man raids need more of these, in my opinion

I dont care one way or another with enrages in 24 mans I just have rarely seen a fight drag on there for longer than 15 minutes so I don't know why people think its necessary. Generally people wipe to mechanics first or kill it.

Knowing how to play your class at level 70 is unreasonable now? No wonder there's so many trashy, greedy, bad players. Most of them probably think they're good because they got carried and don't even bother taking the advice people do give them like your mystic shield lob spammer.

Could be any of these things or more preventing someone from performing well. and to be fair most of the time I find it is.
    1) should just speak up, I might have tips that makes stuff easier.
    2) and 3) surely lower performance but it does not make you "run failing" or "no DPS to speak of" kind of bad.

If you completely reword your key mappings, stay out of savage/ex until you get used to it. Dungeons shouldn't be a problem though.

Most people cannot deal with critique, be it IRL or in a video game. That being said: only telling them that they are bad is not helpful. If you spot them making critical mistakes, provide a solution alongside with the critical remark. Way more helpful. They will still bitch and be pissed that you dared to critique Gods gift to gaming but they cannot accuse you of flaming if you criticize constructively.

So you use the evil part of bad? Just a subjective feeling?
Again no proper objective criteria and you're focusing on the person not the player.

So here we are the same.

    And here we differ.
I expect them to know and perform at least their basic job mechanics and basic content mechanics dependent of the content.

I don't shame anyone either. I will state that he is not performing on a level fitting for the content and will ask if he will improve or not. If he declines by word or action i will get rid of this player.

    Worst case.

You see we are not as different as you may think but i have reasonable objective criteria and expectations i can fall back on judging others, while you more or less just use your feelings and subjectivity.
