I get what she means about a bad day. She said it wrong.. I had prently where I'm ready and jumping into content.. but shit just fucks up. You make a few mistakes and it's random.. you don't know why.. you panic and a wipe happens. Last time that happened to me tho I flat out told the group I was sorry and left the dungeon on my own. I just wasn't having a good day to heal. I wasn't sick, and I heal content decently enough normally.. it was just a bad day. So I get THAT point. But on the other ones... Look I understand when you feel you're not up to task. And people get on your case about it. I SUCK at this game. Go look at my logs.. they are shit. But instead of asking for people to baby me. I train, I look up stuff, I train MORE. You're never going to get better unless you TRY. Noone is going to hold your hand and hug you telling you it's ok. They are going to be pissed if you slow them down.. and yeah that sucks. but what're you going to do? Keep hplding people back, then your pain will NEVER end. Get out there and show people you're good by training and getting better. You'll always run into assholes but trust me... as someone who freaking SUCKS.. you can get better.

    I will be forgiven, right~?

Of course you'd be forgiven! Such circumstances are understandable - I've been knocked off of platforms or forced to stand in the fire more than once because of my cat suddenly jumping on my lap during an instance. I tell people what happened and they just laugh it off and we try again.

You should be thankful when someone calls you a baddie, because that is the chance for you to realize what you have been doing wrong and correct it. It is those people who keep smiling and nodding at everything you do that you should be wary of.

Okay, I'll bite. When you queue for anything, there are certain standards that are in place. Anything over 50 or so and then the standards are higher (but still extremely lax) and if you got more than 2 rocks to bang together in the bag you got, then you really should be able to figure out that being an ice-mage or some other windowlicker isn't okay. Coddling and defending people who legitimately think they are hot stuff while spamming Blizzard 3 is not only stupid, but also dangerous. This is because you just reinforce their thoughts on how cool they are, and they then pass this misinformation to others, which just makes the situation worse.

Other things to point out, if you are playing an online game, you really really shouldn't be surprised that someone sometime might be rude towards you. Grow a thicker skin.

Also this is the most ridiculous thing I've seen on the forums, so hats off for that. Now, going deeper in to this one, say we play tennis doubles, me and you in the same team, against who ever. And instead of me trying to play properly at my level, I would just whack you with my racket to the head over and over cause its "more fun" that way. Would you defend my clearly extremely bad play even if it "isn't optimal" and actively hinders our play or would you tell me to stop being an idiot?

Guys, guys it's just a game

that I may play with 3/7/23 other people

I don't need to git gud, gawd

the other 3/7/23 others will pick up the slack for me

I could take the time to get used to my UI with a dummy or if I'm sick, I just play solo or not play at all

but the shit I got to do is group content so tough luck for everybody else.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Just love how embracing the victim mentality has become a norm everywhere.Instead of improving and strive for more, better to make up excuses and ruin everyone else quality time.
Either you learn from someone giving feedback (bad is feedback btw, not insult) and asking for more on what you did wrong , better to make up excuses . That works to a point and it will dry up pretty fast (cry wolf).

We are not here to play the saint card and pretend you're ok when you're clearly not fit to run certain content or even trying to comprehend why someone calls you bad .

    My 2 cents.

before calling someone "bad", ask yourself what is the meaning of "bad", is it the same as the player you are about to call so?

    3. Are they having a bad day or are they feeling sick?
I'm of the opinion that if you are sick enough or miserable enough for it to effect your gameplay that much then you shouldn't be playing at all. If you decide to ignore it and continue anyway, the "I'm not feeling well" card can hardly be used to beat off criticism if you're playing like road-kill when it is you putting yourself in that position to begin with.

    2. Did they recently change their UI/Binds or both?
This is something you do on your own time, not other people's. On those (extremely rare) occasions I rearrange my keybinds or abilities, I certainly don't wade immediately into max-level content without adapting to them first. That in itself is being bad, as well as being an ass.

    1. Are they a new player?
There is nothing wrong with being new. However, the "I'm new" card only goes so far. If you're pre max-level content then it should be expected that various people in the group is likely still levelling or grinding. However, if you're entering EXPERT roulette dungeons or the present tier of normal raids, it is expected by this point that you at least have half an idea of what you're doing - all that is left is to learn mechanics and/or bring your gear up to speed. If you are entering extremes or savages then god help you if you aren't even knowledgeable of your class, never mind the content.

There's an saying that goes something like 'my right to swing my fist ends at the other man's nose' I like to translate to things like this.

Yes, you pay your own sub, you 'can' play however you like. But when 'playing how you want' translates to negatively impacting the group, you lose that right. Whether that means you're causing wipes directly or just not pulling your weight. You have a right to play how you want. You do not have a right to only do single target dps in a dungeon where the rest of the group is doing big pulls and aoeing. You do not have a right to play 'frost mage' though I don't think I've ever actually seen one of these in person. You do not have a right to put no effort into avoiding aoes or obeying mechanics. You can do these things but if you do, people are justified when they get frustrated with you or vote kick you from the duty.

I don't demand perfection. I'm not a perfect player either. I make mistakes. But I also try to learn from them. If I find out I'm not doing the rotation right on a job, I try to improve. If I find out I'm doing a mechanic wrong, I try to fix that.

That said, this doesn't mean the first recourse should be calling someone bad or yelling at them. Try offering friendly, constructive advice first. But if said advice is ignored or they get definsive, that goes out the window.
