Premium Companion App - Free Retainer?

Hi,I just upgraded my companion app to premium, and have been waiting to see if I can hire an extra retainer for 20 minutes now but nope, still stuck at 7 additional retainers.

Did they change it so you get the extra retainer for free now? o.o

You still need to pay for the extra retainer, it just adds an additional hire spot.

Did you try hiring in game or on the mogstation. Have you relogged? It should be free, just go to retainer vocate.

O WOW, the premium companion App gives you a free retainer o.o…. I wish I knew this sooner xD.

The premium plan includes a retainer. If you have inactive retainers it'll simply unlock one of them.

That’s outdated information - or possibly wasn’t ever the case. People latched onto the phrase “hire an extra retainer” as yet more proof that The App Is Bad, when it may have meant from the start that you could, within the game, hire an extra retainer at no additional real-world cost. Which sounded far more plausible from the start.

It’s possible (but improbable) that they originally intended to double-charge but backed down after the outcry, though I think it’s more likely to be a case of poor communication.

If you are still wondering, with the extra retainer thru the Prem Service, you do it in game. Not Mog Station. I just found that out. hehe. Hope it helps (if still wondering)
