- Skills automatically comboing (aka press 1 button to combo) is not going to be implemented in PvE. The reason we did this in PvP while reducing the amount of total skills is that we want players to focus more on team strategy and tactics. In PvE we feel that the effective use of branching combos is one sign of player skill. As part of our current concept regarding the battle system, we are purposefully leaving the PvP and PvE systems separate.
- We understand that your hotbars are mostly full. In the future, we plan on removing those skills that are used the least, so that total the number of skills to use will not drastically go up.
- We plan on inplementing a system where shields will show how much damage they will mitigate. If you weren't shielded because you didn't get in range, it will become even more apparent than before, so be careful.
Glamour Dresser
- We are planning on either increasing the number of plates to use, or making the system available in more areas. This will depend on server load, but we are definitely going to do something, so please be patient.
Miscellaneous
- A Grand Company in Ishgard is not happening yet. For lore reasons. However, we are planning on creating a new kind of content in Ishgard. Please wait for an announcement.
- We are going to be implementing a warning before entering an instance with a weekly restriction, if the timer will go past the weekly reset time. We will also make it clear before entering Savage if the number of chests would be reduced.
- The original plan in 4.3 was to make the Qiqirn the DoH/DoL beast tribe, that the Namazu ended up being more popular. We want to put the spotlight on the Qiqirn sometime, but nothing concrete as of yet.
- A system where you can preview Mogstation items is in consideration.
- We can't promise a tackle box, but we are planning on expanding content for fishers in the future.
- We will also be adding onto the chocobo bag system.
Jobs
- (Regarding pure DPS jobs being unwanted in end-game content) In 4.4 we buffed BLM and SAM. As a result, participation of SAM in particular has gone up substantially.
- (Regarding the place of MNK after the SAM buffs) There are times when the WF team has a MNK in it. It also has some party buffs, high/stable DPS, and Mantra. Rather, we have recognized that due to SAM being buffed, NIN mains are starting to worry a bit, but please understand that we do not make job adjustments by only looking at DPS numbers.
- We are also aware of the synergy between DRG and ranged DPS. We feel that this is an issue that reduces the freedom of choice in party composition, and that something needs to be done. The dev team has acknowledged this.
