Legacy Character Can Not Do Class Quests

I hope I'm placing this in the right forum, but I'm having an issue with my legacy character. When 2.0 launched I wanted to start fresh and made what is now my main char, but, I've recently wanted to go back and play my legacy character a little. The problem is I can't unlock new classes on her. It says I need to do the level 10 job quest for my starting job, but I have several jobs unlocked and I tried to see if I have open quests for any of the ones I do have unlocked and they all say the same thing. I want to get this unlocked so I can eventually play SCH on her. It's frustrating to say the least. Her name is Kiniko Fenrir on Balmung.

Did you go to the different guild NPCs to see if they had any quests for you to do? Or did you just check in the Journal for completed class quests?

EDIT: If this is your character, it says your starting city was Ul’dah. Try checking the Gladiator’s and Pugilist’s Guild to see if they have any quests for you to do (since it appears you must have already done the quests for Thaumaturge back in 1.0 to get BLM, I’m assuming).

I did check the guild masters, I did so in every city, the weird thing is when I first started in 1.0 I was a brd, I specifically remember starting in the 1.0 maze that was outside of Gridandia. Every single one of the guild masters have the lvl 1 joining quest, which I can't do.

And you spoke to every single guildmaster on the classes/jobs you have unlocked to see if they allow you to grab one eventually? If you started in Gridania, you should be able to switch to archer and accept quests from the guild NPC.

I just assumed Ul’dah because that’s what the Lodestone had listed as your character’s starting city; and she’s wearing the Ul’dahn Ring, which you get from the Ul’dah starting city story.

yeah I don't get it. Well all of it I don't get. But when I logged in for the first time I know I tinkered with her gear so I likely put the ring on her. I'll go around again and talk to the guild masters, but I might be giving square a call on Monday.

If you transfer a 1.0 character into ARR, you can switch to only those classes you have already gained EXP in 1.0 in at the start (so if for instance you only had exp in say GLA, PGL and THM in 1.0, and you start ARR as say CNJ with your 1.0 character, you can only switch from CNJ to those other classes you already had levelled in 1.0.

Before you can switch to any other class you have to do the class quests for the class you started ARR as up to the level 10 one, and then go to each of the other classes' guilds in turn and sign up there to unlock them, like with a new character. This also is the only way you can undertake the class quests for those other classes you already had EXP in 1.0 in.

There is no way around this I'm afraid, as as far as I can tell this is 'working as intended', as it's been that way since ARR launched.
