    So about our network issues here

    for an entire week for different reasons the servers have become unreachable. Maybe it is time for SE to accept that there might be something wrong with their current ISP provider. I generally refrain from complaining too much but 4 days in a row now and it has now made me lost mats that are not just a few 1000 gill. I am not going to get compensated for that I do not mind.

    However so far we now have a lodestone with literally a copy of the last days error and another mistake. And I understand that people complaining about it won't help the problem. But at the very least show us that measures are being taken to investigate the recent lag spikes and the constant ISP crashes.

    I am not going to threaten to quit the game. But this is incredibly demoralizing and its hard to know if someone is seriously looking into this. That the local network works fine for FFXIV is fine, but the external network isn't . Unless I can order a direct UTP line to the server I am forced to use the external measures.

    I don't know, and i'm not the type to whine and ask for a refund over everything, but legitimately i have been having issues playing for the past 2 days and if i cant log in that is wasted sub, and the wasted sub is not my fault. I don't pay money for sub time i can't use when i have the time to use it. This is SE's responsability whether its their ISP or not SE needs to work this issue out with them or find another ISP. It is SE's responsability to provide and maintain the service THEIR customers PAYED for. FIX THIS SE or i want an extension of the days i missed/payed for.

    Maybe you should read the User Agreement you agreed to when you signed up and continue to agree to every time you login to the game: they don't owe you anything other than maintaining the game, and that despite everything there will be times when service is interrupted for any reason, and which they are under no obligation to offer you any form of compensation (specifically, here: section 5 is the relevant part:

It's annoying and irritating to have connection issues, but a reality check is needed here.

    *caugh* white knight. User agreement or not if it keeps happening people aren't going to be happy. Sure they can put whatever they want into a user agreement, but it's pretty obvious if they take advantage of it too much for things like screwing over customers and the service they need to provide to them, then they will have a lot of angry customers and be in some trouble PR wise. Same as every company really. It's not rocket science that people who pay for a service and can't access that service repetitively due to issues that are not on the customers end then people will started getting ticked off about it" Common sense really. I didn't buy my new car to let it sit at the dealership, when i spend my hard earned money on something i expect quality service, as anyone should. Unless they don't care where they throw their money. I mean if you want to throw your money on the ground and walk away i'm not stopping you lol. I however care about what my money goes into and what i receive in return. again....*caugh* white knight.

    My overall point here is yes issues can happen once in a while and maybe even things that are not in SE's control, but that doesn't stop SE from finding a solution on their own to provide proper and quality service to their PAYING customers. We don't pay SE to be able to access SE's service ONLY when their ISP lets us. To quote someone else:

    "I get that this isn't technically SE's fault as it's about level 3 routing, but this is pretty pathetic overall. Giving notices on the Lodestone or apologizing isn't enough; work with the ISP on a solution, or swap them out altogether for another service. Even if it's not your fault, there's something you can do about it for your own customers.

    Ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe this anymore."

    There is no need to be so belligerent. I am not asking for any refund I am asking for a serious check on what is going on in the game. we can all agree the servers are stuttering a little bit and lagging. and the outages reflect a problem with a service they bought to supply us with a server. the server backbone might just need another datacenter that has a more reliable set of nodes.


    In the end we just want to enjoy the game

    I just read a closed thread about network issues where a moderator said today that issue has been resolved.
    But around 10 minutes ago I got disconnected like 6-7 times in a row. Not sure how this can count as a resolved issue.

    Upon investigation, we have confirmed that our own network environment, as well as our game and account servers are not experiencing any internal errors.

    The cause of the login interference appears to be a large-scale internet issue occurring across Japan.

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your patience until recovery of the large-scale network issue.

    Hey SE, apologizing doesn't mean you get to just let sh*t continue to happen and screw us out of our lost sub time. Yes your investigating it, and its your ISP and not you? That doesn't mean you have to wait on them and let your customers suffer. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! (just my opinion anyway lol)

    Yes, because SE has the ability to fix a widespread internet outage across an entire country.
