Thread: Pagos 4.4.1 update - Thank you!

So I just want to say thank you for the change to light gathering. There is something very psychologically important about actually being able to see the bar change when you have received "light". While still a grind - it is now one that I can measure and see (and enjoy).

That being said - now I can see what I only suspected. That Bard support methods actually hurt bard light gain. I was fortunate enough to get in with a very good group of all lvl35s. After many chains of 30 between the two dragons, and then many more in the forge, the evidence suggests that if I use all my party buffs - it increases their chances of getting "gentle" or even a brilliant light (once) - but in doing so I pretty much guarantee I won't get any light.

For example - every time I used Foe's Requiem on the dragon in the forge I received no light at all on the any of the 5 chains. If I avoided playing any party buffs then my DPS damage was enough to always get me at least some noticeable feeble light.


This makes me a little sad - because being a party support member is a big part of why I love playing Bard, but also happy that once I have all the light I need for my weapon, I know I'll be able to help others get their light quicker.

Thanks again for fixing the light amounts to something reasonable.

Glad you enjoy the light buff. Now grind and pop that Louhi to get 5 Ice for your shiny weapon... Good luck.

Of course they did this after I stayed up late grinding out the last of my light the night before the patch. If I'd known this was coming I would have waited to grind all those dragons. Ah well.

Too late. I've already quit and have no intention of returning.

Still am level 22, still not interested in the garbage that is Pagos.

yeah, the buff encouraged me to go ahead and finish my relic yesterday. Got enough light and popped Louhi twice to get my remaining ice.

Getting all of the Anemos weapons wasn't fun, but it was tolerable.

Getting one Pagos weapon was so terrible that I can't see myself going back in there for anything short of a free Copycat Bulb and Cassie Earring.

I've gotten feeble light before, and always utilized my abilities like minne, palisade, and troubadour during forge farming and killing dragon for chain 5. I did however never gotten anything above feeble light, and I've never gotten a light proc on my 30th chains while most of my party members get gentle. But to be honest, this is probably just bad rng for us both, and doesn't have to do anything with us using bard support abilities. But hey with SE being so cryptic about how pagos works we'll never know.
