Thread: Pagos 4.4.1 update - Thank you!

So I just want to say thank you for the change to light gathering. There is something very psychologically important about actually being able to see the bar change when you have received "light". While still a grind - it is now one that I can measure and see (and enjoy).

That being said - now I can see what I only suspected. That Bard support methods actually hurt bard light gain. I was fortunate enough to get in with a very good group of all lvl35s. After many chains of 30 between the two dragons, and then many more in the forge, the evidence suggests that if I use all my party buffs - it increases their chances of getting "gentle" or even a brilliant light (once) - but in doing so I pretty much guarantee I won't get any light.

For example - every time I used Foe's Requiem on the dragon in the forge I received no light at all on the any of the 5 chains. If I avoided playing any party buffs then my DPS damage was enough to always get me at least some noticeable feeble light.


This makes me a little sad - because being a party support member is a big part of why I love playing Bard, but also happy that once I have all the light I need for my weapon, I know I'll be able to help others get their light quicker.

Thanks again for fixing the light amounts to something reasonable.

Glad you enjoy the light buff. Now grind and pop that Louhi to get 5 Ice for your shiny weapon... Good luck.

Fate farming is ridiculous while traveling North and South... maps horrible traveling place for low level...

Kind of why it's recommended to have low level pop low fates and high level higher fates as they level up they can move faster -.- and use teles. Eureka 101 or they can learn how mobs work. Most are blind some need to walk instead of run to avoid.

Of course they did this after I stayed up late grinding out the last of my light the night before the patch. If I'd known this was coming I would have waited to grind all those dragons. Ah well.

Except. You probably could given the backlash agains the content and that only like 10% of the people were playing it. At the same time, I could say the same for the 20/20/20/20 (Unidentified) Step and the Atma step that "I could have waited."

I don't keep track of what % of people do stuff nor did I have a hint that they were planning to nerf it. I figured they WOULD nerf it but I didn't expect them to until Pyros released.

It's not a big deal it was just kind of funny/frustrating that I farmed a lot of light that weekend to finish up, culimating in staying up late Monday to get my final crystals, and then the next day it was nerfed significantly. Just makes me want to do a homer simpson 'doh.'

Too late. I've already quit and have no intention of returning.
