Bonus points if the Warriors of Dawn found Exodus sealed in the Twelveswood (glances at the mysterious metal structure found somewhere in 1.x) before moving him to Val.

If Exodus ends up being in the Ivalice raid though, they could always go for Enuo, since that still ties back to FFV and the Void nicely. There's definitely a Void theme going on with Eureka based on Pazuzu and Louhi.
There were theories too that it could be the FF Mystic Qust final boss since Pazuzu was a boss in Mystic Quest and was the wind elemental themed boss in that game, but I'm not sure of Lou in Pagos follows that trend or not, I don't remember him but it's been a long time.

Would have been Ice Golem for Mystic Quest, but I guess that's a fairly dull name and Louhi still kinda fits. Next up seems to be some kind of flame moth though, and that's nothing like the dragon from Mystic Quest. We also seem to be getting Wind > Ice > Fire > Special dungeon? So unless that's Earth themed the Mystic Quest link seems to have weakened somewhat. That does lead me to believe Eureka might carry over to 5.0 though, and we'll see Earth > Lightning > Water > Special dungeon there. Would also mirror Zodiak/Anima weapons somewhat with the whole final weapon letting you skip a step for the next expansions relics. Very much depends on how the story unfolds next patch I suppose, seems like its resolving too quickly, but the same could be said for other side stories... Other than a reskin of Odins sword showing up in the trailer, I'm also slightly expecting Raiden just because the only other clear "region" of Eureka we can see is Lightning based, Raiden just being electric-Odin IIRC.

Come to think of it, it could just be Odin... Depends very much on the time frame of Val disappearing and the Odin trial being finished (in terms of updates I think Val vanished long before we got the Odin trial, but idk where that trial actually fits in outside that, could have happened right after Praetorium or right before the fall). That would also be another solid FFV connection; Odin was hidden away below a castle in FFV, IIRC Galufs... Which was technically transported somewhere else when the worlds were fused... I think it was the middle of a mountain range in FFV though, not the ocean. Hmmm... Yeah I think I'm leaning more towards Odin (Extreme) being the final special instance for Eureka now...

In the case of FFVIII, the Mysterious Voice has already hinted at some Time Kompression. "Eon become instant"?

Whatever the future brings let it not be FF7, I seem to be the only one in the world whom doesn't like that game. I would much rather have anything between FF - FF6 personally.

To add to the list of things that Eureka is an homage to, let's not forget XI. The ability to lose xp upon death unless raised was a large feature in XI until it was reduced and then removed over the course of several patches. In addition, at least in Anemos (haven't done much Pagos) several of the NMs are named after NMs from XI complete with being mobs that use the same model as their XI brethren and in many cases, dropping equipment that references those NMs much sought after drops such as the Emperor hairpin or Scorpion Harness.

VIII is extremely underrated, and represented.
You're right I completely missed Eureka, which is FF5. The others you mentioned however aren't worlds we have visited, only references. What I mean/meant was that games "world" or a major aspect of it is present in XIV. But yeah, I forgot about 5 with Krile and Galuf, and the Isle of Bal. Nice catch.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Anyway, if we ever get to the moon where the Ascians seem to be on, I hope we can get some FF 4 content where you would fight Golbez or Zeromus.
The Isle of Val is from Final Fantasy V. Eureka is a hybrid of V, Mystic Quest, and III.

VI in particular is mined pretty dry at this point, I think eventually they'll HAVE to start pulling some more VII/VIII stuff. Though we have had some including Project Meteor and the first boss of Ala Mhigo. I think some aethetics from VII and VIII may fit well into Garlemald as long as it's not 100% copy/pasted.

Garlemald is just begging for the FFVII, FFVIII and even FFXIII aesthetic. FFVII has the grungy tech which would work perfectly for low-class Garlemald. Mostly retro style tech, but still more advanced then what we see is normal for Eorzea. FFVIII has a more middle-class feel to it. It's tech doesn't feel old, but it's not quite hitting crazy futuristic levels yet. FFXIII has all the futuristic tech for the military and political leaders. It's the cutting edge stuff most people never get to use.

Lore wise, I'd like to venture a guess that the Devs and art concept team will bring us more of FFXII melded with FFVI (which I would love to see). If they add more provinces that have their own distinct style, I'd wager we could have some FFIX and FFXI melded in with some high fantasy themes.

I can see elements of FFXIII in an Allagan expansion--perhaps we get to "transcend" time and space to that era in 6.0? 7.0? I think Yoshi did once mention in the past that he'd like to see the game evolve to be something that was not just FFXIV but "Final Fantasy Online"
