Killed Hiens guy and guess what still died from those aoe's trying to heal myself fast enough. 2 hits and was dead. I'm just buying jump potion in 5.0 not going waste my time trying to pass impossible fight for me. Never have liked where they force you play as a scion with limited abilities. Sure don't see any echo in the fight to help you out after failing it so many times. Maybe they should add it.

Just FYI, I did this duty in one go with ilevel 345 as SMN (accidentally forgot to switch to rdm, but it was only 3 ilevels higher). The Burn was before this duty, requires ilevel 340. I can understand lag frustration, but it's usually only in crowded space. Having spare HP potions helps if your class can't heal in time properly. As for playing Y'shtola (or any other NPC), the thumbrule is usually it's not about skills, but strategy. Neutralize Daidukul first then go for Magnai, Daidukul will step aside once you beat him.

I don't get it why playing a game should be as easy as watching a movie.

Mindsets like this are the primary reason the game gets more and more boring since Heavensward.

I've beaten it twice. Both times on AST (in stormblood, not ShB), and the second time at near minimum ilvl. You have all of 4 buttons as Y'shtola. Even if you do not play healer you should have ample time to determine what button does what. If you guys have issues with this quest I'll begin to wonder just how you managed to make it this far playing your actual characters.

Stop being in such a rush. If you're REALLY struggling with this quest then practice it and beat it.

Are you keeping Hien healed? After Magnai gets his Vulnerability Down buff, make sure to search for the axe that Hien will Limit Break to give you two a safe spot (there will be a marker that appears next to it). If I remember correctly, there will also be an Active Time Event, and then Y’shtola will do her special Limit Break on Magnai. So it’s basically surviving up to that point. The instance itself is not difficult, but it requires you to pay attention to Hien, heal him if need be, and follow his move when the time is right. If you aren’t doing that, then you will fail.

That said, I did want to say this: personally, I don’t care how long you’ve played MMOs, and I don’t think that’s particularly relevant here. And the only garbage attitude I see isn’t coming from who you think it is. Perhaps take a second to calm down before you reply next time.

Second time I tried, did what I was supposed to do, still died. So tried several more times and still died. I have said in my post before We were both full health and still failed. I cant seem to find the bug-report you filed on this issue? Because, as you surely know as someone with so much experience with games like this, thats what you're supposed to do in such a case: walking over to the bug-report-section of the forum, filing one and waiting for them to confirm and fix this bug. Not lashing out against other players who are trying to help you by troubleshooting anything you might have missed.

Hien is supposed to Limit Break the final axe (when Magnai and his axes get the Vulnerability Down buff around ~20% of his HP). You aren’t responsible for killing it—Hien’s AI is. Then you do the ATM, and Y’shtola Limit Breaks Magnai, effectively completing the instance. Did you read the summary of what’s supposed to occur that both Pepsi and I posted? Have you considered other issues, such as not standing in the safe spot? Gear wouldn’t really be an issue for this instance, but situational awareness might be.

I’ve never experienced this bug being described here, and I’ve done this instance on multiple characters. I may not be an MMO veteran—this is actually my first MMO—but I didn’t have any issues with it on any of my attempts. Not saying it may not exist, but this is the first I’ve heard of it ever being reported. And I was around for the large complaint fest that was the case when Patch 4.4 dropped and this instance was a hot topic around here.

Take a few seconds to calm down before you reply again. Your aggressive attitude isn’t particularly becoming. Especially since no one is being inherently aggressive towards you.
