[Suggestion] /shout changes

So you wont be bothered by (more) shout spamming during prime times, because you just dont see that.

Actually, I “would not be bothered by more shout spam” because I have shouts filtered in my chat log into a separate tab.

...(Which I personally don’t think just connecting the two major cities zones would change much of any “shout spam” that you’re referring to....)

In other words, there is a fix to the “shout spam” you two are complaining about but not utilizing the features already in the game to cater to your personal needs and wants.

I already have the knowledge of LS/FC’s but seeing as I play at odd times they aren’t as active as the entire playerbase and a simple shout has always helped fill the party. And just combining the zones would only benefit people who use shout to find parties which is a small playerbase yes, but again, implementing it would hinder no one at all.


(I guess the people who aren’t happy with seeing “shout spam” and not filtering it. But again, that’s 100% their own fault.)

But i digress.

Yes finding a balance between people wanting to use shout and having more people see it, vs people not wanting to see it is a tough compromise. But as i said, and as was stated by others, my suggestion is just the main cities connected to themselves, and the housing zones, i feel is a better compromise. thus the thread.

Having all cities connected would be bad, is not my request. (again, as already stated.)

You missunderstood me - or merely skipped the part in which I said that I'm not even directly arguing against your suggestion.

You dismissed a legit concern of someone with "Well, I'm only active during the morning, when no one is around anyways!" which is a pretty weak and bad argument.
I understand that it would benefit you and your odd times, but most people (as you correctly) noticed dont play at those odd times, but rather during times in which the shout chat isnt so much used by the odd person looking to form a party, but rather by people either being outright annoying for their personal amusment or FC-ads.

The only thing I am complaining about is your lack of actual consideration for the concerns of other people by basically saying "Well, I dont have this problem, I dont play during peak time".

(My personal fix for this btw: I just stay out of the major cities alltogether)

No i wasnt dismissing it. i was saying that if they dont want to see /shout or the spam thereof, there is a function in the game to only see it when you want to. (Which is using the filter and tab system, which is exactly what i do, because i do get 3 days off a week for work and do play sometimes during peak hours so i have seen spam and simply adjusted my chat log to my personal preference.) Which was my suggestion that they do in my post just now.

Again, i stand 100% behind that connecting the 2 zones of each city (just like Kugane, its not divided by 2 different zones but instead of asking them to connect them physically, just to connect them via the chat channel) would negatively affect no one.
