Healer macro for DPSing

Hello!

I'm trying to set a target macro, so if I press the button, I'll attack the target's target, so I don't have to actually de-select the player I'm healing.

But the thing is... I'd also like this macro to work even if I manually target my enemy, that's the part I can't get right.

I've tried googling it but it shows outdated results.

Any help?

If it's the boss, just target him and right click and press "Focus Target" or press triangle and select Focus Target if you use a PS control.

That way it will cover of you are targeting boss or not.

there are several keys you can use without using macros in game.

1. one that makes you target the current targets target
2. and two involving setting a focused target and snapping back to said target.

I use those so I don't risk using macros. macros are typically very situational and often times respond poorly when their needed the most. I use the above keys to focus my tank so I can dps freely and then snap back to him when needed. that and I use the keys to target his target when I need to.

That way it will cover of you are targeting boss or not.

I use this one, but I have a " /macroerror off" as a first line so I don't get spammed in the chat.


Also, quick tip if you use spells with upgrades, just use the first one. It will automatically take the highest grade.
For instance, on a SCH you would have :
/ac "Ruin" <tt>
/ac "Ruin" <t>
And it will still use Broil 2 while doing level 70 content.
