[30413][25008][10009] Unable to download patch files. 4.41

    :SOLVED:
My computer downloaded half of the patch, when I was suddenly hit with this error,
and now I keep getting this error whenever I try to download the most recent patch.

    I have tried:

    running as administrator,

    turning off the firewall,

restarting the modem and my computer,

turning off the modem and my computer for more than an hour,

putting the FFXIV data for port forwarding (TCP 54992 - 54994 for example, I did all three of them that they list on the support site),

    Using two different VPNs.

    Using the google DNS 8.8.8.8.

Using DNS 4.2.2.2 as some people on other forums said it sometimes works (it didn't for me)

Tried using a DNS from Japan, as it has worked for some. Did not work for me.

Set square enix sites to trusted in internet explorer

    Tried deleting folders in ffxivpatch

Edit: Tried all of these on both wired and wireless connection.
Edit: Also tried connecting to my husband's phone network, who's internet is done by an entirely different company. Same result, unable to download patch data.

I just can't seem to download this last patch!
I have never had this problem before in the 5 years I have been playing, and I am at a total loss as to what it is.
I don't really want to try re-downloading this game, as my internet speed is 0.2mb/s on a good day, it would literally take days, and nobody else in the household would be able to use the internet during that time.

EDIT: SOLVED! I took my computer to my family's work, and... THE DOWNLOAD WORKED! It must be a problem with the line before it reaches my home or something, since the technicians didn't fix it, and different ISP's AND modems didn't fix it, but the download worked perfectly fine at work, which is in the nearest town.

I had this problem a few months ago (although the error code I got had some extra numbers in brackets after the '10009'), and it seems the cause in my case was I was using an outdated version of Internet Explorer (which the launcher uses to function). Updating Internet Explorer to IE 10 fixed the issue (Microsoft Edge does not work). If you don't have IE installed, you need to, as the game requires it. It seems strange, but that's how it is.

If you already have IE 10, open Internet Options in the Windows Control Panel and click on the Advanced tab, and scroll down the list til you see several options that say 'Use SSL xxx', and for SSL 2.0, make sure it is ticked, but that 'Use SSL 1.0' (if listed) and 'Use SSL 3.0' are not ticked (unclick the tick in the box if it is). Then click Apply and then OK. Hopefully it should now work.

I have internet explorer 11, and I have no SSL1.0, or SSL 2.0, only SSL 3.0 and it's unticked.
Apparently Microsoft no longer supports SSL 2.0, and that SSL 2.0 was released in 1995, and all SSLs are outdated and vulnerable to attacks. :/

I tried it with the SSL3.0 ticked, and it didn't work, so I turned it off again.

I've tried everything as well: Changing security settings, updating IE, firewalls, IP config... Still nothing.. Keep getting error [30410][30607][20457][404] when trying to update. Never had a problem before this.. If I can get the patch files from a friend which folder do I put them in?

    I assume it's Documents>My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm reborn > downloads > ffxivpatch.
    I could be wrong though.

Someone suggested in another forum to delete one of the folders, and then try to download again, but that did not work for me. :/

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I apologize for the delay in my response.

I know you mentioned that you used a phone network to try an connect, but these generally aren't stable for long downloads. You may want to try it on a different network where you can use a wired connection.

You also mentioned that you disabled your firewall, but does that include your anti-virus software? Sometimes these are two separate programs and can interfere if there is new information being downloaded.

You can also try changing the DNS to 1.1.1.1

You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I haven't had the opportunity to use someone else's wired connection yet, but I did try changing the DNS to 1.1.1.1, and I tried a clean reboot. Both did not work.

I also have windows firewall automatically disabled, as I use an anti-virus, and I turned off the firewall on the anti-virus program itself, and it did not work. :/ I still cannot download the patch files. FFXIV programs are also set to "allowed" on my anti-virus.

I also had my husband try to download the patch on his own computer (I had hoped it would go through, and I could copy his patch files), and his computer also got stuck at the exact same point of the download, even though he was a few patches behind (it got stuck in the last 2minutes of the download, just like mine).

I'll be changing ISP's soon though (due to an unrelated reason), so I am hoping this other ISP might do the trick.

Thank you for the update NessaWyvern.

I'm assuming you and your husband's computer were using the same connection, correct? If so, it's starting to sound like you are being routed in a way that's not optimal. That doesn't necessarily mean your connection is poor.

If it's possible, you might want to try taking your PC to a different location with a different internet connection and see if you can complete the download, unless your ISP change is happening in the very near future).

The modem for the new connection is arriving in the mail today, so I'll reply soon if it works. I am also doing some windows updates to see if that might fix it as well in the mean time, I'll keep ya updated.

An Internet technician found a broken wire today as well on the entrance point to the house and fixed it, but it didn't fix the patch update problem, sadly.

EDIT: Windows updated, New ISP, New modem, same problem: Unable to download patch files [30413][25008][10009]

Me and my husband also can't download any patch files for WoW either on separate computers AND ISP's, and apparently my husband's friend's friend also has problems with patch files, and they are also from New Zealand, if that information helps any.

ANOTHER EDIT: I recently noticed a slight graphical flicker of the screen before the patch update fails, and both me and my husband have the same graphics card, could that mean anything?
    It's a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

FINAL HAPPY EDIT!: Took it to the family business in town, and the download worked there.
