Normally i use items like durability drought to reduce item condition depreciation, i been away more than 6 months from the game, i was wondering if there is any other options introduced or you know about for the same purpose? thanks

Not exactly, however if you've got a crafter within 10 levels of the item that needs to be repaired (i.e. a leatherworker for leather boots, goldsmith for metal earrings, etc) and you repair an item it goes up to an additional 100% (if you repair at 97% it goes up to 197%), which considerably slows the time needed to repair again. It's not new to the game, but it is something worth considering.
Housing food does this, and as an added benefit, doesn't disappear on KO. It can also be had very cheaply from NPCs or if you want better stat boosts, still relatively cheaply compared to carried food.
The downsides are, of course, that you have to eat at a house/apartment before entering an instance or otherwise going out to do battle, and the maximum duration may be less than the instance's.
There is also Free Company buffs for FC members that do reduce gear degredation, specifically 'Proper Care' and 'Proper Care II', which slow the rate of gear degredation by 10 and 20% respectively for 24 hours.
You can get these buffs as long as you are in a Free Company and the company owner or a member with the required permissions purchases and sets the actions.
It should be noted that gear wears out at different rates depending on if you are in the overworld or in instanced duty -equipped gear in dungeons, trials and raids degrades at a much faster rate than normal fights out in the open world, so it may pay to get into the habit of regularly visiting a NPC repairer between duties, as otherwise it's very easy to quickly end up with badly degraded gear that will cost a small fortune to repair.

The Squadron Gear Maintenance Manual can be obtained through Priority squadron missions if you had been working on that before you took your break from the game.
I know quite a few people who leveled crafters for no reason other than the ability to fix their gear on the fly inside dungeons. I've considered it for my alts as well, as I'm too used to not needing to repair my gear and it has gotten me in some pretty risky situations before... just remember to refresh your stock of dark matter items regularly.
Are repairs more expensive if the gear is in worse condition, or is it a "fixed cost per percentage point restored" deal?It should be noted that gear wears out at different rates depending on if you are in the overworld or in instanced duty -equipped gear in dungeons, trials and raids degrades at a much faster rate than normal fights out in the open world, so it may pay to get into the habit of regularly visiting a NPC repairer between duties, as otherwise it's very easy to quickly end up with badly degraded gear that will cost a small fortune to repair.
