    PS4 update time has become ridiculous

    so, downloaded patch 4.1 in about a minute, it's not particularly huge.


    Then it starts "copying..." .... slow as crap, 20 minutes and counting.


    This new updating method is far, far slower than the old one.

    We have, both times. The expansion drops a day or two early while the servers stay in maintenance mode, no different to PC patches right now.

    Also don't forget how PS4 users got 4.4 almost immediately after servers went down. Talk about scare mongering.

    We got 4.4 in advance because we had to redownload the whole game when they switched to the PS4 patch system. I assume they will do the same with 4.5 and the next xpac.

    But yes, the PS4 patcher is really bad at patching large games and this is what I feared what would happen. Tip: put your PS4 into rest mode and let it handle the patch there, don't try to play other games while patching.

    The pre patch for Stormblood was significantly earlier than the pre release date. By several days iirc. We might be ok

    Commendations.
    If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
    If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
    If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

    Only if they should be getting a commendation.
    There are always exceptions to the rules!
