You're comparing yourself to Napoleon. Dude~ you play a video game where you're riding around the world on a cartoon chicken trying to stop an evil moon wizard.

Aha....threatening with a ban? Very well. I'm done with this thread anyhow. Seriously, I'm completely done with this thread. Adieu, good ser.
People already think you're a tr....you know what, nevermind. Not wasting another daily post on this thread.

...thanks for saving that post, Kaiva - I owe you!
Wether or not that guy is trolling or just dellusional doesnt matter, because its pretty clear that words are actually wasted on him.
So, for everyone seeking real advice on how to keep an FC together (I dont know, people might google that to look for real advice and will not only find that but also some serious amusement in this thread) - I stand by what I said: Create a help- and useful community with yourself in the middle - not at the top. Network, make sure you get to know your members on an appropriate ingame-level, offer help, advice, fast queues, gears and FC-activities like maps and primal-farms.
You seem to be under a massive delusion that you're special, OP.
You're not.
You want to be some sort of big-shot FC leader.
The first step is to become a big shot.
30 million gil? Just last week I gave away multiple sets of pentamelded crafted battlegear probably totalling to over 300 million in value. 30 million gil is chump change for anyone who wants to be deemed as "someone". I can PRODUCE that much value in a week, on a whim. You took 6 months to ACQUIRE that much. And I'm nowhere near the top of the economic ladder of my server.
What about raiding? I see no logs with you name on it.. I'm going to assume you're lacking in this category as well. Probably gonna beg for some carries as well..
So put me in the position of a prospective member: Why the hell would I give you my "loyalty?"
You offer NOTHING. You ARE nothing.
You TAKE TAKE TAKE, but have nothing to GIVE.
Good FC leaders are Givers, not Takers.
No Free Company under your leadership will ever be worth anything outside of a few snickers from what few people are going to be aware of you.
Who would want to join that?

If this was the case, your fc wouldn’t be a flop. And the ego thing is completely wrong. I am an officer (technically 3rd in command) in my FC. My leader and my fellow officers are not egotistical. Our FC has flourished over the years. People hate people that are full of themselves. The more you talk, the more I see why you are failing. I would leave too. I wouldn’t want to be associated with someone who thinks being a beggar is okay and not actually working to earn your money legitimately. Instead you feed off of the work of someone else. Disgusting. Your ego is toxic, in my opinion. It’s just not someone I would want for my leader, and it sounds like other share this sentiment.
You want “practical” advice and not be sermoned into a kinder or “morally-upright” person, but newsflash sweetie... No sane person wants an immoral, arrogant person as their leader. The fact you say you’re “forced” to do things for others, especially your fc members, and expect something in return shows you do not deserve to be a leader. If you keep your attitude, you’re only gonna keep failing.
I get a lot of help from my good friend, Jack Daniel's, to help run my FC ;p
Sometimes he brings his friends, Jim Beam and Johnny Walker, when times really get rough
You're best facilitated with an FC of one. There's one thing that you're wrong about. Most of what you said is good and helpful, and I thank you for that. But you're wrong about one thing.
Any community, whether online or offline, social or business, needs an egomaniacal leader. History will tell you this as well, not just me. The greatest military leader of all time, surpassing Caesar and Alexander, is Napoleon Bonaparte. He's my childhood hero. He wasn't a perfect man but his ego knows no bounds. Yet despite his ego, he was well-loved by his own soldiers. They remained loyal to the bitter end, even after his one-year abdication to Elba. His secret? Well, that's a lot of things. It's complicated. But the point is, his ego drove him to greatness. I have a fondness for the man because I'm the same way. And my experience tells me that greatness in leadership is not gained through purely morally upright motivations, but through sheer willpower and arrogance. The secret is to learn how to hide this arrogance when it counts, and flaunt it when the time to show-off is ripe.
You're talking to someone who have earned over 30 million gil throughout his 7 months of playing, half of which were gained by socializing alone. That's 15 million gil gained through sheer social skills. And wanna know something else? Before buying my FC house, I had 200k gil. I went to the house plot and hustled a nearby player who eventually gave me enough to get the plot for myself.
I created this thread to get practical advice, NOT to be sermoned to become a kinder, "purer", morally-upright person. My intentions for my FC is for my own benefit. But who cares? I'm forced to do things for others' benefit as well, so no harm done.
