    Data center not showing up for transfer service

    RESOLVED ON IT'S OWN (???)

    Hello,

    I've been having this trouble since this morning. I'm on PS4. I'm attempting to transfer my character from Chaos (Louisoix) to Aether (Adamantoise) to join my friends, and for some frustrating reason no matter what I do the Chaos data center servers WILL NOT show up on either my Destination World or Selected World lists.

    • I have gone to the character selection screens for both destination and desired world, even logged in and out at one point on both to be thorough.
    • I have tried restarting the game client as well as logging out of and back into the mog station.
    • I've made sure that the character in question meets all transfer requirements.
    • I've verified the world statuses for both data centers: ONLINE/NO MAINTENANCE
    • I have also verified I have SIX empty slots on my destination world.
    • All American and Japanese data centers are visible options in both lists.


    I'm lost and more than a little frustrated at this point. What's the problem?

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    For clarification, when you select your designation world (the first option), can you find Adamantoise? Then when you select your current world, is this when you can't find Louisoix? Are you selecting 'Confirm' after each selection?

    Can you post a screenshot of that page (please edit out any account info, such as your Square Enix ID, if it's in the screenshot)?

    Thank you for responding, first of all.

    Unfortunately it's the latter: I can find Adamantoise on the "Destination World" list just fine (while none of the EU/Chaos worlds show up), I click confirm, and then when I try to find Loisoix on the next list it's still missing (along with Odin, the other EU world I have characters on).

    ETA: I stand corrected, Loisoix DOES show up on my "Destination World" list now, at the very bottom. It did not on previous attempts (I previously had 8/8 there and I tried deleting one to see if that would resolve this).
    ETA2: If I select Louisoix as a destination world all the current worlds with characters DO show up. I included that screen shot as well. Unfortunately I have to get back to work so I'll be gone for a couple of hours. I hope you can help me, too! I'd very much like to get back to playing with friends again, and appreciate your time.

    The Mogstation should tell you what is preventing you from transferring, but sometimes it can be rather vague. I'd suggest double-checking whether your retainers have anything for sale on the market, make sure that your character has less than 10 million gil and leave any free company you may be a part of. Also be aware that if you have done these relatively recently, the system may take a moment to catch up. So if you removed your retainer items from the market, then immediately tried to perform the world transfer, the system may not have caught up yet.

    Try the world transfer again later on today after you have double-checked if your character is eligible.

    Einmimiria, I think you may be misunderstanding the problem I'm having. You were on the right track before but my problem is NOT character-specific. The site is NOT giving me an error message. I cannot even SEE my server as an option.

    I actually did go through the checklist already. I did that last night before bed with the intention of transferring this morning. I've done multiple transfers before and never had this issue. My character has less than 600k and that is including retainers. I left my free company last night, ensured no retainers were selling items, have no Ceremony of Eternal Bonding quests, or anything pending, and even double checked that I had logged out in Kugane and NOT a housing area.

    My problem is not with an individual character: As the screen shots above show the problem is the ENTIRE CHAOS DATA CENTER is missing from the list of "CURRENT WORLD AND CHARACTER SELECTION" options, and ONLY when I try to transfer TO Aether.

    I've uploaded the screen shot with highlights this time. I'm sorry but I only had a mouse to write with and my mouse-handwriting is pretty bad.

    I've tried it again, and again, and it STILL is not working. I've double, triple, quadruple, and quintuple checked the things you mentioned. It still will not show me my current server, which means I cannot even get to the character selection option. ONLY the NA servers are having this issue for me. I cannot see any CHAOS servers when selecting any AETHER/PRIMAL servers as the destination world. Gaia? NO PROBLEM. Elemental? ALL GOOD. Mana? Perfect.



    Literally the only ones NOT working as they should are the NA centers, Primal and Aether both. I checked, and double checked.

    Is it possible that it's related to this?

    I'm starting to think it's possible that the network issues are having an influence, however I can't be certain. I'll continue to look into that.

    You edited your first post to say that it resolved on it's own. Are you no longer having the issue?
