Thread: How does one get a weapon in 4.4?

So, I heard someone mumbling about using Mendacity to get weapons in 4.4 and I finally have my WHM pretty much (but not completely) past Mendacity and I'd like to gear a tank up to do Expert, but I don't wanna do it with a 300 weapon.

I'm not really interested in putting my nose on the grindwheel in Eureka...

Nobody is selling the 350 craftables, so I can't do the whole 350->360 upgrade...

Not wanting to spend 1.2mil on the latest craftable just so I can do expert roulette as tank.

And the only thing I could find that you could do with mendacity is the Sigmascape weapon... are you still limited to one crystalloid per week?

What other options do I have?

Make friends, i've made plenty 380 stuff for fc mates/friends who got me the mendacity mats.

Or grind one, use mendacity tome and the sigmascape chrystals to get a 360 tome weapon.

Are the Sigmascape Crystalloids still once per week?

It seems like Kefka is probably the easiest way to get an acceptable weapon for Expert...

And yeah I have a WHM with a 360 weapon.... but I'm not really sure I'm cut out for EX though lol. I've never tried it.

No it's one per a clear now.

Oh okay then yeah, Kefka is the best way then probably. Just need 4x of him and some Mendacity.

Though... HoH is also a possibility, I never tried that before. How does HoH differ from PotD? I remember getting the PotD weapon...

Very little difference. As far as getting the weapon goes... you can spend 10 weapon/armor points to get a "grip". When you have 10 grips, you can trade them for a weapon.

The medacity weapon is probably fastest though, assuming queues aren't completely dead.

Yeah, that's the thing, checked just a bit ago and it's 17m for a healer. lol. That's why I think I'll go with HoH... just spam the first 10 floors or something. And that grip system is way better than the PotD system, lol.

Can get a 330 weapon from hunt seals now. Past that, a few hours of HoH for a 365 that will be well enough to clear Suzaku EX for 385s.
