Teleporting frequently will cause strain on your character. It is logical that your character need time to recharge anima after many use.
There is your immersion.
Switch to Gil..? Might as well shout for a person to teleport you for gil instead if you can't manage your anima properly.
anima regeneration with a 0-99 pool works for intelligent gamers who know how to use resources (similar to how rich people never spend money).
another option though, would be to only allow 1 teleport every 2 hours. Kind of like a trust fund if you will for immature un-responsible F ups.
HAAAZZZAHHH!
That's my point. I don't say I got a problem with my anima use. All I'm saying is, that I can understand ppl who, when they can play 2-3 times a week for 3-4 hours they want to get much stuff done to not get too far behind from ppl in their LS for example. I can understand those ppl and can sympathize with them. Now, they are paying to play as anyone else and maybe don't want to spent an accumulated hour watching a chocobos ass form those precious 3-4 hours gametime.More casual players will eat up anima more, here's my reasoning:
In a condensed amount a time a casual player will try to do as much as he/she can
quickest way around is anima. Chocobo and ships take time.
A player who has more time will always balance the anima/chocobo time/airship time because they'll have that choice, where as a casual player will always take anima due to the limited time.
That's where casual would like to spend their gil for instant teleport, the gil for no time transport is advantageous to their limited time.
My 2 cents.
A person who plays two to three times a week, for three to four hours a session, will have over four anima to spend every hour he plays. A person with four anima to spend every playing hour is not going to run out, ever. No way, no how. Give it up, you can't win this argument with the "think of the poor people with limited playing time" bit. Anima is the way it is because it was *designed* to favor people with limited playing time. That's my point. I don't say I got a problem with my anima use. This argument goes down a dangerous road:More casual players will eat up anima more, here's my reasoning:

My 2 cents.
At what point will the casual player have so little time that they can not do any of the activities (or time sinks) in the game?
If travelling is too time consuming (which is one of the smallest time sinks) how will they cope with:
- Getting Iffy weapons
- Getting Moogy weapons
- Getting next primal weapons
- Getting Coffer items
- Getting Rune stones
- Crafting 40-50
- Harvesting 40-50
And this of course does not include the big time sinks that will occur if they ever raise the cap.
If the casual player's time is of concern that managing their Anima is not an option, then I fear this casual player will run into a LOT more content that requires a LOT more of their time than they could come close to affording.
It just doesn't make any sense to me, insisting that it will benefit casual players to switch to gil. In other words, people with limited play time will benefit from switching from a price that they don't have to devote any play time to earning (anima) to a price that they *will* have to devote play time to earning (gil). How's that again?
Lazy...
I play every day with plenty of Anima. And this is why > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUE32J43_wg

People might call it lazy, others might call it practical. How many times I've been invited to an ifrit party or moogle knowing that the rest of the party is waiting for me. Since I don't like wasting other people's time like some, I would teleport there. However that has brought me down on anima as well.
To be perfectly honest I think FFXIV should have something similar to the Outposts in XI. Instead of just easily teleporting there your grand company has to work on getting the locations. However I dont think this would work well until after 2.0 since the maps are so big that getting an outpost for certain areas would be pointless since some areas people dont really want to fight in. However when 2.0 reduces the map size, I would say that a system similar to that would be one of the things which was done right in XI which could be implemented in 2.0
Bring in the XI hate.
Why are the map sizes being reduced in 2.0? They are splitting up each zone into 3 or 4 areas will different environmental themes or landscapes so add some variety to the large monotonous zones... but I've never really heard them implicitly say they are making them smallerPeople might call it lazy, others might call it practical.
