Anima isn't going anywhere. It is a vital part of the story if you read the information on the official website. If you actually read why we have a certain number of points it is really interesting.

The being's soul, which cannot be broken down, then guides the particles to a pre—determined destination, and upon arrival, the corresponding aetheryte receptacle reconfigures the mist back into its original form. This whole process takes only a matter of moments, allowing for nearly instant transportation to faraway destinations.
