I have the grid shield and i use it a lot when i'm tanking mobs or tanking for example the LL stronghold nm. The high block rate make you block like crazy and helps a lot. On ifrit you almost don't block anything (the only way to block is with aegis) so you can go with w/e you want. On moggle i didn't do much gla but i think a more balanced one is better.

your aeigis boon heals by how much you block. for moogle or ifrit you'll see over 1200 hp come back to you if you use a shield that blocks more damage. As i said above, high block rate is god for SH since the mobs dont hit hard enough to worry about the aeigs boon.

On ifrit i use the Canopus Shield and i always get a fixed 700~ of hp (i think 703 was the number) using aegis. Tell me how do you get 1200 of hp from aegis...

maybe you have more def then me which would make you take less damage, idk, don't care either. wasn't trying to argue. just telling people that higher block will give more hp for endgame stuff. (results will vary)
