Why is this a trend?

Why is there a trend of people buying FC’s with and without houses and just leaving them inactive?

And I’m not talking RMT. I’m talking normal name players, with normal named alts, just leaving their one alt in the FC And never playing said alt.

Could be a number of reasons. If they're buying another fc, could be some leftover gil, could be using the benefits of fc only actions, could be prepping for the next round of housing since FCs got priority on them for a couple weeks last time houses were added.

They might be buying them for the FC credits. Years ago the FC I was in was only a few friends and we couldn't generate enough credits to be able to purchase both airship fuel and FC buffs. So what I would do was buy FCs off people when they were transferring servers, just for their credits which we could then trade for fuel.

I know of people who use alt FCs for extra storage.

Ones use it for workshop, airships and subs. If you rank it up you get a lot of extra storage space.
