Raid behavior is getting worse lately

SE already has a system in place. Any harassment you get reply with love and not hate. Then go report it to the GMs and they will see the text chat of the guilty party acting in hate while you responded with love.

Most they will get is a warning, but if it happens again with the same offenders, a 3 day ban or so. Know that you’re not the only one getting harassed and poked fun of for reasons. Don’t let bad people ruin the game for you. You never know, they may one day realize what they did was wrong and feel sorrow. Forgive them like you’ve been forgiven. Fight evil with love, you may win your enemies over one day.

Clearly, I have nothing against you if you are on my friends list (heh.) and it is just an observation. Regardless of what instigated the people harassing you, it is not acceptable on their part. Be kind to yourself. Be proud of who and what you are, but do not let people harass you with it. If that means you should take it down a notch, then do so.

Again, blacklist, report, move on.

It's unfortunate, but jerks are everywhere on the internet. Looks like you found a few of them. However, I wouldn't let one incident shape your opinion of the player base who runs raids. Or even the player base a whole for that matter. The behavior you mentioned is reportable. Report the offending parties and move on. My experience has been mostly positive when it comes to this community. Are there outliers? Yeah, of course. I've seen a few of them. But they aren't everyone.

It’s off-topic, but I think using Verraise as a Red Mage is kinda important to get the most out of the job. It’s there to support as well as deal damage, and raising party members when the healers aren’t able to raise is part of that. If a Red Mage solely deals damage, isn’t that the same as being a less potent Black Mage?

In terms of raid behaviour I want to support the OP but I don’t feel like I have enough information to take a side. That said, everyone has experienced being grouped with a less than savoury character. It’s understandable to be upset and I’d say it’s a perfectly valid response when someone is being genuinely mean. Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done realistically. Banning people who are mean just gets rid of their character, the attitude and it’s effects still exist. And I honestly believe that bad attitudes can spread if not addressed properly. The issue then is how do you realistically address something like this? SE can’t exactly force the world to be nice to each other (as nice as that would be lol)

A friend and I main red mage and when we party together (the most recent alphascpe's come to mind.. normal mode mind you) we sometimes end up low on mana because of folks dying (although what I get annoyed about is the fact that people have been dying due to healers spamming dps moves... this content is new, not savage mode and I think it's slightly too early to try to "squeeze"the runs out really quickly... because I think its going to lead to wipes and thus take longer)

There’s a difference between a RDM that cannot raise because of lack of mana (be it from too many people dying or dying themselves), and a RDM that refuses to raise because they think people actually care about 24-man logs. The latter is a RDM that I do not want in my party, regardless of what their personal damage looks like.

People actually read satus meassages in groups? People are usally just wanting to gogogo in raids whenever I join one. I cant' imagine this sort of thing happens regularly.

Put simply, you have button that does thing, you use button to do thing or you aren't using your toolset.

Don't use your toolset and you should be replaced with someone that does.
