a literal DDR-minigame to FFxiv songs would be instantly popular. Idk why they dont take minigames that work and just apply FF themes to it (looking at LoV).

You know, I would do this too, but the orbs have to come faster than they do in the fight.
+1 for the OP and the first answer. I would hope that it would not be a competitive game or gate but something that you can do all the time.
I vaguely recall someone asking for a Theatrhythm style minigame for Gold Saucer at one of the Fanfest Q&As and there being support for it. Maybe the arrows are the answer.
On the other hand, just rotating 90-degrees to some music doesn't seem like much? It certainly really isn't much in Suzaku even if sped up like in Extreme... it might have to be a bit more elaborate to be a proper minigame(duty actions?)
i can see the Suzaku and Byakko ones being proper GATES, while the namazu becomes a standard attractionmaybe if they add another dome to the gold saucer, (maybe made with allag tech that the mandervilles flexed into working for them.)
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
I would totally sign a petition for this.
Also, it occurs to me that with a few modifications, Suzaku's 'Phoenix says' mechanic could be a gate too... Just divide the circle into six or eight segments instead of four, make the phoenix move faster, and have the marker it passes in front of be the only SAFE place to be standing.
And the icing on the cake? Suzaku DDR tournament where you can compete against your fellow eorzean. Last one standing wins the grand prize.
Edit: we can have OPs suggestion and this one like triple triad
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
I'd really hope it'd see some improvements before becoming a gold saucer game, tbh. So much more you can do with a Phoenix Dance game, even just in the most basic of ways... Short of that you're better off just copying an actual DDR model.
...Improve on the Byakko freefall bullet-hell while you're at it, too. Variable speed, with more accurate hitboxes. Include a co-op mode where you can link up to further slow fall speed and pull each other in / push apart...
I'd love this to be honest. I've been hooked to DDR since I was a child. Although I think it'd be best to either tie direction keys to hotbars: 1: north, 2: north-east, 3: east, etc. so they can make it an actual rythm game and increase its difficulty, as there's only so much that you can do to turn your mouse 180 degrees. or just copy DDR in general.
Bonus points if they give us actual dance moves as well. Even more bonus points if they made it a co-up mode where you have a dance off against a raid/trial boss with their theme and we have to defeat it by dancing. Titan Dance Extreme anyone?
As for the Byakko/bullet-hell I'd love to see that too but closer to a real bullet hell. Give us actual patterns, multiple difficulty modes: Easy, Hard, Extreme and Savage and rewards accordingly. They could, again, tie this to a raid or trial: Take a note of Touhou, have us lasting an x amount of time in a certain pattern then let the boss have 2-8 stages, and each stage being a different pattern/phase.
Bonus points if we get to shoot the boss back like in most bullet-hell games and have actual "bombs"/screen clears as well.
Now that'd be fun. Perhaps a lot of development, but I think it may be well received.
There is a delay in facing the correct direction to when the game registers you as facing it. It's around 1.5-2 seconds for me. This makes getting 10 a guessing game for myself, It would be a nice game in the MGS but any faster and i wouldn't have a hope XD!
If I can guess it correctly (before the arrow appears) i might get 10. If not, then 9 Is my best and if I get little stutters (which happens about 1/4th of the time) 8 is my top.
I have around 185-210 ping depending on time of day so perhaps it's a large factor. Other then my garbage AUS internet.
